Bah. This was not worth the time. The first one by Lora Leigh was super smexy hot. The sex was good. The storyline itself threw me for a loop. I seem to have come in 1/2 way through a series or something. I'm tempted to figure it out but I honestly don't care enough about it. Sheila was an okay female main character. Kind of odd how much she was hurt by her first crush at 19. What person after so many years is still traumatized in this manner? I call it the 1st world issues. *rolls eyes*

Unfortunately, These Stories Are Only Mediocre

LEGALLY HOT is an anthology of three novellas.

SHEILA'S PASSION by Lora Leigh: Sheila Rutledge has been in a sexual relationship with Nick Casey for months. Both Sheila and Casey have been hurt in the past and thus they both don't want to risk their heart. There is a continuing story about a watcher wanting revenge and seeking out the men who work in the intelligence gathering bar to find the watcher's target. I liked the first novella in this series
I picked this book up because I am a big fan of Lora Leigh's Breeds series and I have read and liked
Cheyenne McCray's stories as well. To my surprise the best tale was by a new author for me Red Garnier! The other stories were too light on details and felt centered on sex. “Caught” by Red Garnier had what I was looking for. Great storyline and characters. I had fun reading it.
Note to Self
This was more like 2.5 stars.... I picked this book up because of the synopsis on theback, and I have to say that I was vastly disappointed. Whoever wrote that clearly mislead the potential readers...

Sheila's Passion, was not as described. First the prologue and "sub-plot" was so confusing... That seemed like it was more for a full length book. Also I never see where they were "best friends". Now I will admit that the sex was hot. Not as hot as Ms. Leigh can be, but still hot. But in essence, Sh
Reviewing an anthology is tricky because there are multiple stories, by multiple authors.
Overall the anthology was alright, none of the novellas sucked but neither did any shine.

Sheila's Passion by Lora Leigh is the first story in the anthology.
This is the second in Lora Leigh's Wounded Warriors series. You don't miss anything if you haven't read the first which is a novella in Real Men Last All Night (Lexi Steele, #1.5). Sheila is in love with Nick Casey and because he doesn't drop to his knees
Lora Leigh 3.25/3.75
Red Garnier 3.75/3.25
Cheyenne McCray 3.25/3.25

I enjoyed Red Garnier's story the most. Though Lora Leigh's story was definitely hot, I thought the characters were a bit confusing.

Good characters, great sex scenes, weak-assed excuses for plot.
I usually never enjoy anthologies, so why do I insist on reading them??? This one was mediocre at best. I've read Lore Leigh and Cheyenne McCray books in the past & have loved some and hated some. I've never read anything by Red Garnier and I probably won't again. That story was the worst of the three, in my opinion. It could have been GREAT because I liked the hero a lot and the plot was good... but the writing left a lot to be desired, and I didn't like Meg as the heroine at all.

Shelia's Passion by Lora Leigh -- I am going to force myself to read this story, because it is fairly short (137 pgs) - but, on page 27 and I am so very annoyed. I think this story would have likely been half the length had someone told the author to stop repeating herself. Over and over she says the same thing with different words, sometimes in the same paragraph. OKAY we get it! And the heroine, Shelia already has me hating her, and thinking she is an idiot. I continued skimming this story and ...more

Three short stories which involve men in uniform, sort of.

Series: Sheila's Passion (Wounded Warriors, 0.75)

The Stories
Lora Leigh's Sheila's Passion is interesting, but Leigh needs to come up with a better premise for the driving purpose behind this. Her bad guy is chasing down someone he sees as betraying the family "trust", an Italian mob family's responsibilities to those under them. Gio "betrayed" all who relied upon him by loving his daughter and protecting that love. Now, the son whom Gio

Sheila's Passion by Lora Leigh- This has all the trappings of what you expect from Lora Leigh. The first 5 pages are a vividly described intense sexual scene. It ends in some high school type drama and proceeds from there. There were pages where I was on board with the hero and others where I was on board with Sheila but mostly nothing really stuck out as original. I gave it an OK rating but I don't feel more stars are warranted because its much like any other LL you may have already read.

This was a great anthology of short stories, which I generally do not enjoy, but all three of these stories were put together well with a nice solid plot and enough character development that they didn't feel so short. I wasn't sure what to expect from the other two authors since I've only read Lora Leigh, but I was pleasantly surprised. All three stories get four stars from me. "Sheila's Passion" is just about what you would expect from Lora Leigh...totally hot, intense from start to finish, ch ...more

My favorite of these was the Leigh story. Right away you could tell that there was chemistry between these 2. I found myself agreeing with Shelia, that she felt she had to retreat otherwise risk her heart getting broken. It did seem like they were just friends with benefits and she needed more. So I was happy to see when Casey decided to declare his claim, but that only made it more confusing as they each brought baggage along that colored the way they thought. You just knew it would take what i ...more

Shelia's Passion by Lora Leigh: 2 stars First came the very confusing prologue; then the first chapter opens with an erotically-charged sex scene which was written like only LL can write it but this reader didn't care b/c I didn't know the characters yet. What follows is a silly conflict b/w the H and h. She thinks he doesn't really love her. He wants to "claim" her. Every time he tries to stake his claim, she rebuffs him, yet is always hurt because she thinks he doesn't love her. ??? Th
1st story - "Sheila's Passion" by Lora Leigh. I was not impressed with this one. The suspense did not seem realistic or hold my interest. The steamy bits were okay, but I like a little plot with the sex.

2nd story - "Deadly Dance" by Cheyenne McCray - was a definite improvement. This story revolves around Keri, a former ballerina who is now being pursued by the man she helped send to prison 7 years earlier. Adam is the cop that is trying to keep her safe and falls for her. Much better plot and te
And two stars is generous.

Lora Leigh is still recycling the same dialog in her books.

Red Garnier wrote one of the stupidest female characters I've ever read, and I've read some doozies.

Cheyenne McCray's was the only remotely interesting story and, wonder of wonders, she didn't throw in her standard heroine with big boobs who could lick her own nipples.

I adore Lora Leigh, however, really disappointed in her "Sheila's Passion". I am an avid fan of the "Breed" books but lately, she seems to have gone off the boil to barely a simmer!! Never been a hugh fan of Cheyenne McCray and her "Deadly Dance" did nothing to encourage me to try her again. Finally, their was "Caught" by Red Garnier. I have never read any of Red's books before and I have to say out of the three offerings this, in my opinion, was the best. Really glad I got the book from the lib ...more
All Three stories are great.
I gave 5 stars of the sex scenes alone in Sheila's Passion. Lora Leigh did it again. I want to be Sheila and experience what she is enjoying. To be honest the story lacked depth and shouldn't be read alone. It was missing something, like the other parts that make a whole. Maybe when you get everyone's story all together it would be better. At the end I felt like I was left hanging!!!!! The other two stories fell short all together.
The Best Book of the anthology was Lora Leigh's Sheila's Passion. It was so hot it was smoking. Nick and Sheila's story was more developed probably because the story line carries over from Lora Leigh's previous books. As well as, addressed that age old question of 'If the sex is so great, why wont he say I Love You?' The other books in the anthology weren't bad but after Lora's opener the rest just kind of fell flat.
This book has three stories: Sheila's Passion by Lora Leigh; Deadly Dance by Cheyenne McCray; and Caught by Red Garnier.

I would rate these stories between a three and a four.
I'ver read quite a bit of Lora Leigh but found her story to be my least favorite in this collection. The other two authors are new to me and I really liked their stories. I'll definitely check out their other work.
I never thought I would give any book that included a story by Lora Leigh only two stars, and I was being generous at that, I feel. This one just does not have a lot going for it and I recommend that you be smarter that I was and not waste your time. There is certainly better writing by Leigh and McCray out there and who is this Garnier person anyway?

I enjoyed reading 'Deadly Chance' & 'Caught' (even though they were both predictable). I wouldn't get into 'Sheila's Passion' so just skipped ahead.

I'm going to say 'Deadly Chance' was my favorite. He tries to play knight in shining armor and she fights back instead of curling in the fetal position and crying. Wish it was longer!
The first story was a little confusing, I suppose I should have realized there was a series that I had never read before, to go along with that story. :) But Lora Leigh made up for it, that first chapter was like wow! The other two stories were alright. I should probably stop reading anthologies before I read the series.

Normally I like this kind of anthology for my popcorn reading, and I've liked a lot of Lora Leigh's books in the past, but I only got maybe 8 pages into the Leigh story, two pages into the Red story, and was so bored I didn't even give the Cheyenne story a try. So glad I got this from the library
Admittedly it's been quite awhile since I read Cooper's story, but I still felt like I was missing more than half the picture in Leigh's story. Surprisingly, McCray's was my favorite in this anthology, making me want to get back to her Night Tracker series soon.
This also has a short story from Cheyenne McCray's Night Tracker series, which is not recorded in Goodreads library section. However, all of these stories are good, and I enjoyed these three shorts by each of the authors, two from on going series.

I thought the first 2 stories was vety interesting, I couldn't get into the but the last one called Caught by Red Garnier was amazing, it keep me in the edge until the end, thankfully it was Cody & Megan got to be with each other!
I only read the first 2 books. I really liked both. Deadly Dance seemed a little too quick in the relationship building (or lack thereof). When the "I Love You" moment came, it just felt forced. Aside from that, it was good.

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared.
