HEA for Dustin and Brandon!!! After two years together they decide to get married... their love is stronger and beautiful! Their homophobic relatives won't keep them from being together and their love worth everything!

This book is written from Brandon's POV, and I love it very much!

I read the initial book “Rules of Engagement” quite a while ago and always wished for more of a HEA ending to that book. Well, voila – here it is! This was the perfect sequel to an awesome book!!

Dustin and Brandon are one of my favorite couples and I’ll never forget the extraordinarily hot scene when they first met. The heat continues in this sequel and can’t be extinguished by the “Rain” that continues to plague some of their momentous occasions;) While the first book was told from Dustin’s poi
Rain is a very good HEA to the book Rules of Engagement. The first book ended abruptly with little to no resolution and no idea about the future for Brandon and Dustin. Rain skips ahead a few years showing the couple happy and settled and ready to be married. This kind of glosses over significant emotional issues but does give a solid ending that was sorely lacking. The highlight are the sex scenes, which are simply fun and entertaining to read, while giving the characters a chance to resolve fa ...more
This was a lovely epilogue for Rules of Engagement ... it was nice to see how Dustin settled into his life as a gay man & I always like a HEA ... this story also highlights the difficulties that bigotry create in families ... Dustin got his brother back but poor old Brandon was left without his brother, but given the brothers depth of homophobic idiocy, it wasn't really a loss ... if you enjoyed the first book in the series, then this book is essential reading but it isn't a stand-alone titl ...more

I should have read the previous story maybe then I would have enjoyed it more.

This was the continuation of the novel Rules of Engagement. Rules of Engagement was excellent until about 90% into the book where it took a dramatic turn, leading to read-rage (my version of road-rage). In fact, I'm going to create a new read-rage shelf to express my displeasure for all themes that make me want to grind my teeth down to nubbins. I also felt that Rules of Engagement did not have great closure, so I had to read this book right away.

This book definitely provided the closure that I
This was a good follow up 2 years after Rules of Engagement. This story is more about reconnecting (or not) with family after coming out, not about Brandon and Dustin. They're happily settled and engaged -- no date yet. Tristan, Dustin's brother, seeks him out to reconnect. Jillian, Brandon's sister, asks Brandon if he's considered making peace with his older brother, Russell, even though it was Russell who walked out of his life. Two sides, two viewpoints, and two outcomes. I was glad to see th ...more
Nice short follow up to Rules of Engagement. This time life is told from Brandon's point if view which is nice.

A Joyfully Jay review.

Dustin and Brandon, from Rules of Engagement, are back, and oh what a satisfying story this is. When I realized there was a sequel to their story, I had to have it. The first book ends with a lot of promise, and is a happy and complete ending, but I was so glad that we got to see these two guys have their forever. In fact, I think I like this one even more than the first, but I’ve read them back to back multiple times over the last few years.

that was a poor attempt to write more about the cute relationship of Dustin and Brandon. didn't like it at all. where the first one had passion, angst and so much love to give, the second one had nothing of these things.

at the beginning I was happy that it's written in Brandon's POV...but I soon was disappointed because he really didn't sound like the Brandon of the first book at all.
I was a little unsatisfied with the ending to the first book so I was interested to see what would happen here. It ended up being a little bittersweet (not in terms of Dustin and Brandon's relationship but in terms of their wider family ties) but, nonetheless, I enjoyed seeing how the men's relationship had matured and I feel like their story now has the ending it deserves.

Really satisfying end to a great story. On the one hand so happy for Dustin and yet so sad on the other hand for Brandon; but really highlights the beauty and sustenance of finding your true love. Nobody else really factors in if they are not a positive part of the equation. Both books were just great . Loving this author!

3.5 stars.

The previous book finished quite abruptly and a bit unresolved, so I'm pleased to have closure on the MCs' lives :) This novella is told from Brandon's perspective (Rules of Engagement was from Dustin's perspecive) as they (and their families) prepare for the men's upcoming marriage.

This is a short sequel to Rules of Engagement. I am really glad the author wrote this Novella to conclude Dustin and Brandon's story. I was REALLY upset and disappointed with how Rules of Engagement ended. I wanted more pages to close things out. I still stand by my original review for book one. The MC were cheated out of telling each other how they felt.

This book takes place 2 years after book one and focuses on both men trying to reconnect with their respective brothers and Brandon and Dustin
This was a nice follow up to Rules of Engagement and while I wish it would have not been two years into the future, it was good read after how the last book ended abruptly to see how everything turned out for Brandon and Dustin.
That was a nice ending to Rules of Engagement but it could have been longer...
An incredibly boring read that I had to force myself though. Reading this immediately after "Rules of Engagement" made it extra tedious as this book revisits every key scene in that book. Like most readers, I was disappointed with the ending of the previous book and hoped this would pick up right where that one left off. Instead it jumps two years forward where the now happy couple is planning to get married.

This time around the first person narrator is Brandon and not only is he not engaging bu

This novella deals with the tragedy of being cut off from family because of love. Isn't our family supposed to be happy when we find love and happiness? In a perfect world that is true, but this is not a perfect world. Both MCs travel the emotional journey trying to reunite with brothers who have severed all relationship with each. To experience such heartache while experiencing such love is unfair. Will either or both MCs reunite with a brother? This heart wrenching story is told with reality a ...more
This it the short sequel to the first book called Rules of Engagement, to be honest this should not have been a should have been the ending of the first book in my opinion...the author could have removed some of the many sex scenes from the previous book and added this short one as a ending with few changes.
This one was set 2 years after the first book ended and it did nothing for me, it felt flat and boring.
The fact that the previous book had no real ending or closure was a huge di
This sequel to Rules of Engagement was told from Brandon's POV... Dustin's brother comes to Brandon looking to get in touch with him after 2 years of pointed silence and while Brandon is busy supporting Dustin and trying to get him to make up with his brother, he thinks maybe he can make up with his own brother who walked out on him over 16 years ago because of who he chooses to love!

Sometimes things go right and sometimes things go wrong but the one thing that both Brandon and Dustin get out of
I'll give 4 stars because I feel like some things were left unsolved and I just hate loose ends.
Otherwise it was as awesome and hot and sweet as the first one. I loved how they endured every obstacle together, they truly are a great couple.

Oh, and this one was from Brandon's POV. AWESOME.
trop court !

This sequel to Rules of Engagement gave me everything I could have wished for and tied everything up nicely which ROE failed to do. Yes we got a HFN (happy for now) in ROE however I prefer more than it gave. Rain did just that. I was thrilled this couple came together the way they did. Dustin and Brandon have become one of my favorite m/m couples, and there are not that many believe me! Their love and support of each other was touching, emotional and showed the depth of their love for one anothe ...more

Davvero carino. Ho adorato il 1° capitolo - Le regole del gioco - e ritrovare la sensualità, l'ironia, la complicità e l'amore devoto tra Brandon e Dustin, è stato davvero piacevole. <3
A short round up to the first book. I can see there's a need for that, as both characters had family issues with their sexuality. But I thought the execution is a bit abrupt and stereotype. I thought Brandon sounded like a guy who's well loved and comfortable with his sexuality, I don't think he would be that bothered by his stubborn brother, not when he already got love and acceptance from his sister and mother, so that part seems a bit forced. And I cringed when I read how many times both Bran ...more

L.A. Witt is an abnormal M/M romance writer who, after three years in Okinawa, Japan, has recently relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, with her husband, two cats, and a three-headed clairvoyant parakeet named Fred. There is some speculation that this move was not actually because of her husband's military orders, but to help L. A. close in on her arch nemesis, erotica author Lauren Gallagher, who has al ...more
