dry and british and a detailed account of some of the greatest atrocities committed in the first half of the 20th century. of course, there have been others - but this is a first - the detailing of atrocities whose blessing can be traced to the very highest levels.

The first book I read on the subject of Nazi war crimes. Still an excellent introduction to a macabre subject.
