Crimson Sunrise, the second book in the Crimson Trilogy, takes place very soon after the end of Crimson Moon. Caleb and Emma are back in the U.S. but have had very little alone time since the events of the previous book. At the end of Crimson Moon, Emma made a huge life decision. She decided to forego becoming a vampire and chose Caleb as her true love and mate. In...more

Emma is back at home with Caleb since he came and rescued her from being claimed by Decimus in the last book. They schedule time away, just the two of them, but their trip is short-lived when they receive a call saying his sister Sammie disappeared. It turns out other young werewolves from another area have also gone missing and the search is on.

It becomes apparent that Decimus hasn’t given up his claim on Emma and her life is endangered and we get plenty of action on that front. Trent and her p...more

This was disappointing. The story line was boring, the characters were cliched and the writing was dull. The heroine, Emma, was a bland whiny Mary Sue. There was nothing exciting or remotely interesting about her, I didn't mind her so much in the first book but she really grated on me in this one. I was irritated by her doormat tendencies, she let everyone boss her around and control her — she was so weak and annoying. I don't need an alpha bitch heroine but I do prefer heroines that hav...more

J.A. Saare is at her best when she merges emotional turmoil with cutting action scenes. The latter half of Crimson Sunrise brings this repeatedly in fresh ways that make your heart break for some characters and want to hug others.

Crimson Sunrise picks up a few weeks after Crimson Moon. While Emma and Caleb are happily together, they haven’t had much alone time. The two are staying with Caleb’s parents and others in the werewolf pack are a...more

I was eagerly anticipating the next book in the series and if you loved Crimson Moon, then you won't be disappointed. We start off with Emma recently being rescued from Scotland from the reigning prince who wished to enslave her. Decimus was scared that Emma'a ability if she was turned would rival his own and he sought to circumvent that from happening. Caleb rushed in to save the day with the help of his friends and family. Emma and Caleb are soul mates and although she cannot imagine life with...more

OMG...I've missed Caleb and Emma so much...I just didn't realize how much until I started to read this book.
I was on the edge of my seat, my heart was in my throat and I couldn't focus on anything else. I devoured this installment in one day. I tried to slow down but it wasn't possible. I'd put the book down and walk away but ended up coming back to it a few minutes later.
It's gritty, it's sexy and it's intense as hell. It had me crying a couple of times and that in itself is tells you just how...more

Crimson Sunrise was an awesome sequel to Crimson Moon. It continues with Emma and Caleb getting ready to be together finally. They want to go spend some alone time together, and get some things straight in their life. But they don't get the chance when Caleb's sister goes missing.

Everything bad seems to happen after that. People keep coming after Emma to hurt her, along with Sammie missing they have a lot to deal with. Not only that but Emma has to deal with some weird things happening to her,...more

I really enjoyed these books. They had a young adult quality to them but had mature content so I didn't feel like I needed to be 15 to read them. Very good and will definately be reading the next one.

Pretty good book 2, story progresses but not as much action and things are getting to predictable. Caleb leaves, Emma gets attacked... But I will read book 3 to see what happens.

I thought this was amazing. This is going to be a short review at the moment, I'm sitting for five minutes then off again, not the point... it was quick paced without realizing it, which personally I find sometimes a hard talent to come by and I think it was thoroughly enjoyable if you enjoyed the first one, and love some Caleb you will probably be drooling...which I'm pretty sure I did at one point. Can't wait for the next one!

Caleb and Emma are finally bonded and back in the States. Now Emma is pack and family. But their alone time is cut short when Sammie is kidnapped.
Similar crimes are happening in Florida. Caleb and some of the pack go to investigate leaving Emma alone to get into trouble.
Emma finally lets go of Trent - even if it broke my heart and made me cry.
The vampire prince makes his move which is really surprising with a very elaborate scheme.

This book has the drama and excitement you hope to find in a good...more

I enjoyed this more than the first book in the series, Crimson Sunrise. I adore this author, but this series is not my favorite. I just can't root for Emma no matter how hard I try.

Crimson Sunrise is the amazing second book to Crimson trilogy. It's filled with great humor, and made me laugh out loud at the oddest of times. It's also a great love story, giving Twilight a run for its money. If your looking for an unforgettably refreshing love story, this is the book for you.
