We didn't put a cooling system into our hew house, so I'm looking for ways to cook that don't heat up the kitchen in the summer.

So far I've tried the risotto, which turned out amazing, and the polenta, which had way too much liquid. I'll try adjusting the polenta recipe next time. It's nice to be able to make these kinds of dishes without having to babysit them on the stove :)

I noticed that quite a few recipes require using the broiler before putting the food in the slow cooker, so those recipe
