anyway, this one definitely grabbed me!! w/in a few pages of the prologue, as much as i hate how it takes me down, i was ALMOST wishing my body would crash w/ a flare-up so that i could just lay in bed and read til this book was done!!!

One heck of a novel, as far as I'm concerned.

First, all the locations in the novel were great. I liked the diversity.

Royd's character didn't really surprise me in a novel like this, but I liked his mischievousness and sense of humour.

I liked Sophie. She may have felt responsible for what happened to Royd, Joch and the rest of the men, but you could tell she had a great head on her shoulders and a compassinate heart.

I felt something between Royd and Sophie right off, but it was mo...more

When it comes to mystery thrillers I love the work of Iris Johansen. She writes such fantastic thriller novels, I can hardly put them down when I get a new one. The character development is always impeccable and impressive considering most of her novels tends to have 4 or 5 strong characters.

Sophie Dunston is the main gal in "Killer Dreams". She is a strong, independent woman who is divorced and have a ten-year-old son who suffers from night terrors. His name is Michael and he has...more

Typical Johansen. Hot, capable, sexy, expert killer-trained man protecting strong woman in a predicament. He wants sex - so does she - although they pretend to hate each other. But, of course, he loves her also so he controls himself until she decides to ask for it, because he knows she will. Even tough they are both pretending to use each other. He protects her and helps her carry out whatever mission/vendatta she has, because, of course, it is his mission/vendatta also. She doesn't trust...more

This book was very interesting and kept me on the edge of sit. But after reading it. I noticed all the simularities with Johansen book "On the Run". Mom and her child being chased by a crazy man wanting them both dead and trying very hard to do so. Then they are protected by a man who is a sex staved idiot. Different story lines. One mom a Doctor, the other a horse trainer(whisperer). Other characters the same.
Still it was an okay read.

Johansen is one of my favorite authors. The opening portion of this book caught me so off guard I actually gasped outloud! I'm having a hard time staying away from the book, would like to just read it until it's done but that silly thing called a job is getting in the way! Story and plot line are moving really fast, but it's all very clear so I've not been lost. Great charater development in a very small amount of time.

I'm a huge Iris Johansen fan and always devour her books! This book I found boring and predictable...like her heart wasn't into writing it and she was forced to put words down on paper just to satisfy her publisher. I hope this was just an aberration and not a sign of things to come.

OK... I read about 150 pages in and gave up. Very lame book. Nothing happening in it and even when it should be exciting, it just isn't. It doesn't help that the whole idea of the book is ridiculous, but I do like Stephen King and he has written some good books from silly ideas.

Good for travel or vacation reading. Lots of action, but not a lot of depth. If you are looking for punch, it's right up your alley. If you are looking for something to think about, it's a waste of time. Doubt I will read another book by this author, but it was entertaining enough to finish.

Enhoyed this mystery very much. The prologue had me going - at first I didn't know what was happening, but it proved to be one another of her exciting stores. I am very fond of Iris Johansen's mysteries - all are very good and sexy, too!!

I'm not one for sci-fi, this book is kind of a sci-fi-ish book, can't say it is moving through the plot all that quick...I'm going to finish it anyway...it's just going to take a little longer.

Well written just not a fan of sci-fi.

I have read many of her books. They always keep your interest and have good plot lines. This one started out a little slow and it took a long time to see how the prologue fit into the story. It was not my favorite, but an OK read.

It took me a long time to finish this book...several renews from the library.
Guess that means it was just ok. I never really got into it and didn't really care what happened, but I wasn't going to leave it unfinished.

Quick and fun read, exciting, not a whole of depth, but it's more like a really good action movie. Good to pick up while in between "heavy-hearted" novels. A little sci fi mixed with action and romance. I enjoyed it.
