I gave up on this one...Most important factor for me (as a former freelance copy editor) was the VERY poor editing job. I'm sorry, but just using spellcheck doesn't cut it! An author should know the difference between accept/except, than/then, threw/through...The really abysmal spelling & grammar just made it impossible for me to even attempt to get invested. Thought it was a great book! My wife and a few of my kids read it and loved it as well. My teenage son (14yrs) cannot wait until the 2nd book comes out. He even got in trouble from me because he took the book to school so he could finish it there.

It's a refreshing book because it is so diverse. It has fantasy, action, supsense, and a love story all mixed in to create a hard to put down book once you get started. I highly recommend this book to everyone!
This book has a good story, nice idea, but the grammatical errors and poor descriptions were distracting.
