I absolutely adore J.C.’s SWAT stories, but they’re too long in coming before I can get my greedy hands on the next one. I loved the personalities of these characters. Sissy has an in-your-face, won’t-take-any-crap attitude, while at the same time being so warm and giving. Her attitude and sass covers an insecure self-perception. JC Wilder's books are a little like candy for me. I always love them. I liked the idea of this story, but there were definite flaws in the execution. But like candy, I really didn't care. It was just fun to read. And the fun factir outweighs all the problems.

Sissy's accent irritated me. I wondered how Jace explained his absence to his undercover boss. i wanted more on the outcome. The mean-ass FBi agents and cops seemed over the top. But still, it was fun to read. And like I felt after Cowboy's

First title I'd read by this author. The story was going well up to the end when it seemed hurried and choppy. I would have rated it higher if not for the unevenness in writing at the end - including the epilogue, which was not an epilogue to this story, but simply a lead-in to the next book.

Bad. The story wasn't complete. What the hell happened to Jorge? The investigation? Who the hell us Ahna?

Read it! You won't be sorry. Two great characters, and a happily ever after. High five J.C.

Enjoy the stories but they just seem to end...abruptly and seeming incomplete.
