Suzi Q, The Book Dame
A Bride for Dry Creek is a great addition to the series. Not only is it great to see the characters that I have already come to love, but it is a pleasure to get to know some of them better as this installment focuses on Francis and Flint. Francis has a beautiful softer side than I expected. This couple is quite likable and their story is unique.

As the 3rd book in the long running series your starting to feel like you know the characters of this small town. The main characters of this book where heavily introduced in the 2nd book so I felt like I already knew them before I started to read. The plot was much better in this book and I enjoyed it very much.

A Bride for Dry Creek
By: Janet Tronstad

This is another great story in the Dry Creek series. It features Flint and Francis. We do not know what the future holds for us, but we can rest in the knowledge that God holds the future. Francis and Flint had been married 20 years before, but her father told her that Flint left, and her father told Flint that Francis didn’t want to be married to him and even got him arrested. They spend the next several years wondering what happened and not finding love.

Anything Janet writes seems to be full of surprises but still maintains believability. That combo makes for interesting and meaningful stories. But what I am starting to appreciate as I read more of Janet's books is the inspiration offered up by her characters. In A Bride for Dry Creek one character says, "The point I'm making is that when God takes us down a path all He asks is that we're willing to go. He doesn't guarantee that there won't be troubles on that path. All He guarantees is that He ...more

Silly story and slightly smutty for a Christian book.

Sometimes it's nice to see "what might have been" get a second chance. :)

Janet grew up in the wide open spaces of rural Montana and now lives in the urban spaces of Pasadena, California. She's used both of these locations in her books. Her Dry Creek, Montana series numbers over twenty novels now and her Pasadena books, The Sisterhood of the Dropped Stitches, number four.
