I absolutely love this romantic suspense series by Karen Rose. You Can't Hide was another hit for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has wonderful characters. The hero is very appealing and protective, and the heroine is intelligent and resilient. Both are carrying some baggage, but it makes them all the more interesting. I can't wait to get started on the next book in the series.

The apparent suicide of one of Dr. Tess Ciccotelli's patients is soon revealed to be very a complicated setup. So

*Warning: this novel contains themes of suicide and some sexual abuse.
This is book two of the 'two in one' Karen Rose Novel. Wow! Hidden cameras, drugging's, planted evidence , sick mind games! What more could you want from a psychological thriller/suspense novel with a hint of romance? Karen Rose did another amazing job at keeping me captivated and interested in these amazing characters and the plot of this novel. I really enjoyed how she continued on with a few characters from her other book
4 -5 stars – Romantic Suspense

This is another awesome, intense, gripping, and chilling suspense read by Karen Rose. Tess is a strong and compassionate heroine and Aidan is a protective cop hero who's deeply tortured by all the horrors that he's seen on the job, and I really loved them together. It would have been a solid 5 star read, but I was slightly disappointed with the fact that although there is a HEA ending, the H/H never declared/exchanged an official "I love you". Still, it's a great su

Read this one night and a day while on vacay this summer. As always, a fully engaging suspense story with my favorite part- a romantic subplot. The heroine is being framed by a nutter, and i really wasnt sure exactly who was behind it till the end. (She led me a merry chase by throwing in different characters that were highly suspect.) The hero is the cop assigned to the case, who is pretty much prejudiced against from the get go. But, it doesnt take him long to realize she's innocent- not as lo ...more
Interesting original premise, but for me this is the weakest in the series so far. I guessed the who right away, but the why wasn't revealed until the end, which was the only thing that kept me reading. The lead characters were blah together, which is a shame because I was looking forward to Aiden's book, but he was much more interesting in his brother's story, (book 3). Their pairing seemed forced and them getting together seemed more like an arrangement so they wouldn't be alone or something. ...more
Really great romantic-suspense with the emphasis on suspense, although the romance was really hot too. This was all about the suspense.

Psychologist Tess Ciccotelli and Chicago Police detective Aidan Reagan are thrown together due to the suicide of one of Tess's patients. Aidan has already formed his opinion of Tess and is extremely antagonistic toward her. His preconceived opinion is in error, and he comes around after the second suicide and realizes that Tess is being set up and is in danger.
Oh, there’s definitely a pattern emerging.

This was by far the best book in this quasi-series. Masterfully done suspense, great buildup, and wonderfully twisted villain vied for attention alongside two wonderful lead characters. Neither side of the plot was dominant, they were nicely and masterfully intertwined, complementing each other, pushing the story forward at a nice, steady pace.

I loved both Tess and Aidan, there were so different, yet so similar, both with quite a lot of baggage, both in

What an intense read! Rose never fails to get my heart racing as the suspense starts early & continues to build throughout. The crimes/murders are seriously creepy as the reader witnesses the mental breakdown of the victims as they're driven to commit suicide. All evidence points to the psychiatrist treating them...who hates Tess enough to set her up? A disgruntled patient? An ex-con her testimony help send to prison? Someone from her past? The reader is privy to the villain's thoughts & ...more

Weak thriller , too many dead bodies in a very short time makes the story unrealistic.
Tess Ciccotelli is a psychiatrist and someone is systematically destroying her career and her life.
She meets detective Aidan Reagan assigned to the first case when one of her patients commits suicide but Reagan is not buying the suicide story (naturally). He thinks she is cold, she thinks he is arrogant and subsequently there is an instant attraction. And they fall in love.
That Tess does not herself need a psych

Tess Ciccotelli, a psychiatrist, is being set up to look like she’s played a role in the deaths of her patients. Aidan Reagan, a Chicago police detective, was assigned to the case involving her first patient’s death and soon realizes Tess isn’t to blame. However, he’s having a tough time trying to protect her and her patients when Tess insists on protecting their privacy. And, things get complicated when the relationship between the two gets…well, complicated.

Someone is setting up Psychiatrist Tess Ciccotelli to look guilty. A killer is driving her patients to suicide and making it look like she is behind the murders. Detective Aiden Reagan thinks it may be true when Tess refuses to break her oath and give a list of her patients to the cops. But after investigating the case, it becomes clear to Aiden that someone is trying to destroy Tess's career and wants the last victim to be Tess herself.

This is a well balanced romantic suspense book. It had an i

I have come to rely on Karen Rose to deliver nasty villains, and twisted plots and I was not disappointed here. I thought I had the killer figured out a few times and I didn't find out until it was revealed in the book, and I was horrified. There was a wonderful mixture of romance, thriller and terror in You Can't Hide. We meet new characters that I am hoping will be getting their own books down the line, Vito, Tess' brother for one, Murphy, Aidan's partner for another. I had a hard time putting ...more

No matter how much this book is characterized as romance/terror, the only terror I found was in the stupidity of the main characters.

Neither the psychiatrist nor the investigating detective thought it strange that a neighbour would be able to call the psychiatrist "when they heard suspicious and scary noises next door" or "when the woman threatened to jump". How could they know who was their neighbour's shrink? If a neighbour really heard/saw those things, they would call the building manager o

Good read but very similar to the first Karen Rose book I read CLOSER THAN YOU THINK. Almost seems like she used the same template for both books. Still very well written and good plot.

I'm going to try one more from this author to see if they are all the same or if it's just these 2 that are so alike. If it's just a coincidence then I'll gladly read more by Karen Rose, she's a very good author.

I started reading this book almost immediately after the previous one, Nothing To Fear, hoping to keep riding the book high I felt reading the books in her series so far, and as far as I've read, Karen Rose has yet to disappoint (me, at least).

You Can't Hide shows us Det. Aidan Reagan's story after he was introduced in her previous book, I'm Watching You, which featured his brother Abe Reagan as the H.

From that book alone, I could already tell that Aidan would be a WAY different H than Abe would

Tess is a great psychiatrist, she cares about her patients and really wants to help them, when she pronounces a man mentally ill who killed girls the police department turns against her. They don't get to her fast enough when she is brought in to talk to a killer; she almost dies and is left with scars around her throat. You Can't Hide

An intense psychological thriller with an engaging romance.

The mystery is fast paced and engrossing albeit quite disturbing in some respects. Rose has a knack for writing diabolical villains and this is no exception. Nevertheless, it is quite easy to figure out the identity of the culprit if you pay attention to the clues and realize that this type of sadistic sociopathy and hatred can only have an emotional and deeply personal source. For me, the fact that (view spoiler)

This is the second Karen Rose I read within a month, and there is a clear formula she uses.

Strong female role who is capable but looking for a man to protect and look after her. Sexy, strong man who is gentle, yet a "real man". It is full of cliches. A mix of mystery and sex.

Its a great formula and again it worked well!

I'm going to give Karen Rose a break from the reading list for a while as the muscles, strong jaw lines, sexual tension and trying to avoid an obvious attraction kinda merges all

Karen Rose writes very realistic thrillers and this one is no different. Psychiatrist Tess Ciccotelli has really pissed someone off and they are endeavoring to ruin her career and her life. When detective Aidan Reagan gets involved things heat up. Sparks fly between Tess and Aidan but since she's a suspect (at first anyway) Aidan holds back. It's enjoyable to see them finally get together. There was real personal growth for both Tess (and her family) and Aidan (and his family). I enjoyed the fam ...more

Saw this book on the "Best Romantic Suspense" List here on GoodReads (#14). I had never read this author so I thought I'd give one of her books a read. The plot was complicated and a little far-fetched for my taste. I liked it enough to sample another book in the future.

This is the third Karen Rose I've read and they have all followed the same pattern (SPOILER ALERT): psychopath, high body count, man and woman fall in love, all resolved at the end. I will say for the author that she has absolutely no problem with killing off anyone she cares to. If you're in the book, you're not safe! This time, a psychiatrist, Tess, is being set up by someone unknown and the bodies tumble like ninepins. The police, seemingly clueless, try to find the murderer but this takes a ...more
Chilling Madness and Sizzling Heat
Psychiatrist Tess Ciccotelli isn't well liked by the cops after testimony she once provided sent a child killer to a psych ward instead of under a needle. Maybe that's why Aidan Reagan gives her such a cold shoulder and shows such disdain for her when she shows up at the scene of a suicide of one of her patients. Tess, stricken by the loss of her patient, diligently ignores him, understanding his hostility and having too hard a time coping with the tragedy of he

Normally I am a big fan of books by Karen Rose but this book just didn't keep my attention as much as her other books. I felt like this book waffled on a fair bit and had a few side stories that didn't really add anything to the actual story. It was an easy book to read but I got rather bored with it.

Tess Ciccotelli is a psychiatrist. Someone starts pushing her patients to commit suicide. She has a moral dilemma of whether she protects the privacy of her patients or lets an anonymous killer rui

Great mystery, ok romance but as usual..... big bad words and love scenes (that I skipped over so I can't tell you how detailed they are). Would've been a good book if it weren't for those things.
