I am really excited to have Jill Colonna’s cookbook “Mad about Macarons”. I have tried in the past to make macarons unsuccessfully but I made them yesterday and they were fantastic. If I can make the shell so easily, then I know that the possibilities are endless. I would recommend this book both for experienced macaron makers but also for novice in baking, as well as people like myself who were terrified to make them. Bought primarily to expand my repertoire of flavourings this macaron book is set out clearly & concisely. A good (and inexpensive) buy if you are slightly beyond a novice skill level.
