I was excited for TJ's book, being the Alpha's little brother we've seen a lot of him throughout the series. Clumsy yet lovable, I was anticipating this HEA for him.
TJ shows exceptional growth in Wolf Tracks and Vivian Arend pens it fabulously; he's finally growing into his paws so to speak and it has a great deal to do with finding his mate. A mate who happens to be human and a few years older than him. And while I enjoyed his story, I unfortunately didn't connect with the heroine Pam as well...more

Wolf Tracks is book four in Vivian Arend’s Granite Lake Wolves series, and I have to say it is my favorite so far. I loved TJ in the other books, but in this one he just stole my heart. This is also the steamiest and funniest of the series so far.

The book opens with the traditional wedding of Maggie and Eric. Standing up for the couple are TJ and Pam Quinn. Pam is Maggie’s human BFF. She helped her get though some of the tough times when she lived away from the pack. She has no idea that her best friend and all her family and groom’s family are also wolves.

From the moment we met TJ in book one, we have known he is the worlds clumsiest and most accident prone wolf when in human form, but all that changes when he meets his mate. Only one problem with his mate, she is a human!! From the moment he met her he is having traditional mate reactions to her. Now to convince not only Pam but also the pack that she is his mate. When he gets the advice to court her traditionally, does he do what any wolf would do?? Oh no he kidnaps her, and brings her to a secluded cabin in the wilderness.

Pam is great complex woman full of sarcasm and a doubt that any relationship can last forever. She is confused by this handsome as hell younger man that attracts her on a level she has never experienced before, but decides to have a brief affair with him before going on her week long wilderness tour with Keil and TJ. They weren’t on the trail a day when he offers her a helicopter ride to view the scenery. When she realized he has really kidnapped her and they will be at the cabin for at lease a week, she tries her darnedest to stay mad at him, but there is something about him that pulls her to him. Things get hot and heavy with these two fast once they are at the cabin, but TJ has a hard time hiding the furry side of him. UNTIL Pam literally faces down a bear in a scene that had me literally laughing out loud…. (She tells her self.. Stay till. It can’t see you if you don’t move. No, wait-that’s what you’re supposed to do for a T-Rex!! ) TJ knows the bear is only trying to figure out what Pam is, but has to shift in order to chase it off. Pam isn’t scared of the wolf that seems to come out of nowhere, but she does keep yelling for TJ. He has no choice but to shift back right in front of her. How’s a girl not supposed to freak out when the guy you just had smoking hot sex with turns into a wolf in front of you?? She doesn’t totally freak, but TJ has a lot of explaining to do. Will he be able to convince her that she is his mate, and that they are connected on chemical level?? Can he break down her walls, and take a chance on believing in forever with him as his mate??

There is so much I just really loved about this book! It was full of laughter and steamy sex scenes. TJ was so much fun in the other books, and pairing him with Pam just brought out that greatness even more!! It is a wonderfully written quick read. You don’t feel the story was rushed at all. Pam makes TJ kinda work for her a lil bit, and that is just great. Often times in small books that is skipped over. This is one of the things I love about Vivian’s books most. She doesn’t pass over the important emotions even in her shorter books. I highly recommend this one, and the rest of the series!!

Wolf Tracks was my favorite story of Under the Midnight Sun. I really enjoy the plot and the progress of this story. This wasn't more PRN than the first story : Wolf Games but I find it more pleasant to read.

I think this story was more thrilling and the characters were more interesting in a way. I love the chemistry between Pam and TJ. They are both drawn to each other but in some way TJ doesn't want to push Pam and Pam didn't really believe in true life mate.

A continuation of Arend's "Granite Lake Wolves" series and another really delightful story. My only complaint about most of Arend's work is that her stories are way, way too short--I would really like to see her sink her teeth into a full-length novel. I think it would be spectacular. I'll be the first one to admit that TJ didn't always ring my bell in the previous three installments of this series. Sure, he was funny and cute, but the interest kind of stopped there, as there were times that it felt like he was included in the story for comic relief or to accidentally reveal a major plot point and keep the story moving. Sure, he was funny and cute, but the interest kind of stopped there, as there were times that it felt like he was included in the story for comic relief or to accidentally reveal a major plot point and keep the story moving. I was just a teensy bit leery about reading about him as a lead character (although I preordered the book anyway) since a little bit of slapstick can go a long way. Refreshingly, this book was funny, silly, sweet, sassy, and an enjoyable story that made me see an old character in a new light.

Wolf Tracks certainly had enough of my favorite story elements combined to perfection to grab my attention. The heroine is smart and funny, loyal to her friends, and wants a happily ever after for herself but is afraid to believe that they actually exist. The hero is devoted, imaginative, funny and creative, and not afraid to put himself on the line emotionally. When they end up in a remote mountain cabin together, not only does it show that TJ can actually plan and execute something without drama or problems, but it also gives them a chance to get to know each other without outside interference- I love that in a book. A lot of times secondary characters mean well, but their curiosity or protectiveness can slow a story down unnecessarily. That wasn't the case here at all.

I also loved the subtler jokes- Pam is a dog handler for the RCMP, which is a never-ending source of amusement for the wolves. She's also incredible jaded about relationships and the possibility of happily ever after after her parents' epicly messy divorce. She's way more willing to believe in werewolves than she is to believe in one guy wanting to be with her forever and ever, so it takes her awhile to warm up to the whole fated mate situation. TJ doesn't give up, though, and by the end of the book I wanted to see them happy together, regardless of other issues.

This is a quick, enjoyable read for sure, and I have to reiterate that you can't beat the price! With a list price of $3.50, you can pick up the whole series for less than $15. How awesome is that?!

From what I understand, this was added to the series because fans wanted to know what happened to TJ, who's been present since book #1.

I wasn't that taken by TJ in the other books, I liked him in a supporting role but didn't care to learn more about him. Part of the reason is because I feel like his 'clumbsy', 'lanky', 'loud mouth', 'youthful' qualities were going to be really overplayed.... and they were. It was ridiculous. This is a really cute, sweet story about TJ and Pam. TJ is the younger brother of the Alpha and known for his clumsiness. Pam is Maggie's best friend and human. TJ and Pam met up at Maggie's wedding and the fun begins.

I've always had a soft spot for TJ and he did not disappoint. I loved how he took control of the situation with Pam...even though he circumvented his Alpha's orders. The mate list was great. Pam was equally funny and their interactions were great.

Oh T.J., how I have been waiting for this book. *sigh* I’ve loved this character since he was first introduced in Wolf Signs as the lovable, loyal to a fault, clumsy, ‘act first, think later’ little brother of Keil. After reading Wolf Tracks, I love him even more.

This is TJ's story and I was happy to see his character mature and develop into his own strong personality. Throughout the series TJ has been the one wolf that everyone (not just the Alpha pair) could command/control. But once he finds his mate, Pam, the pieces begin to come together for him... clarity of purpose, determination, protectiveness, and an overall air of control & strength.

It seems like I've wanted TJ to get his story since book one. He's the adorable, clumsy, dunny, good spirited wolf. He will do anything for his pack and his family. He's loyal and endearing, even though I didn't use to see him as sexy-alpha...and he wasn't very coordinated. TJ, the Alpha's little brother, has always been the clumsy goof who everyone loves and counts on. With a heart as big as Canada, TJ longs to find the woman he was meant to share his love with forever.

Pam came to Granite Lake to celebrate her best friend's wedding, clueless that all those in attendance were wolf shifters. When the best man, TJ, bumps into her, she begins to tingle and the beginning of a connection is born. Of course TJ recognizes exactly what is happening, he's found his mate. What would normally be a simple, straightforward situation becomes complicated by the fact that Pam is human. Will she accept him?

TJ has always been the endearing one in the stories, so it is delightful to see him come into his own. Not only does he prove to be a competent protector, his keen intellect serves him well as he strategizes to prove to Pam that they belong together. It was nice to see Pam point out all his strengths when he is used to being the butt of many jokes.

There were so many endearing ways the two clicked, but I think my favorite was their easy humor and snarkiness with each other. And when that boy started singing for her…. *swoon*. It was such a delight to see big bad cop Pam fall hard for sweet TJ. But then who could resist a charming man with a perfect backside for long?

Although this is book four in the series, it will stand alone with ease. When you've read the previous books, it is fun to see what each of the couples are up to, but there isn't necessary background information you will miss. If you have a few hours to slip away, grab a cup of tea and head off to Granite Lake to hang with my pack. Enjoy!(less)

He’s a wilderness guide and has the keenest and best sense of smell in the pack. His clumsiness makes him prone to accidents. TJ is a sweet, cute combination of lighthearted and goofy with protective, calm and reassuring. His boyish charm and confidence come across very clearly and he has many hidden talents. When I read TJ sang I got a little giddy, when he whipped out a guitar I positively swooned.

Pam is a dog handler for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Maggie's (heroine WOLF GAMES) best friend. She’s a little cynical and very outspoken. She’s competent and doesn’t hesitate to say what’s on her mind. The last thing she’s looking for is a relationship, let alone a life mate but unfortunately it doesn’t work like that when you’re the mate of a wolf shifter like TJ.

The chemistry between Pam and TJ is strong and palpable. It carried the story wonderfully next to the witty bantering between them. There were moments it seemed Pam would outshine and predominate TJ but those moments were rare.

Pam took the news of TJ, Maggie and the others being wolves better than I thought. The being mated to TJ was more difficult for her to come to terms with but eventually she took that in stride too. I thought it was very refreshing and inventive of Vivian Arend to pair TJ with a full human, this was new to the series as previous pairings have all been werewolf with werewolf (full-blood and half-breed). It just fitted TJ and the set-up for his character perfectly. Why take the easy road when the hard road is so much more likely to trip you up?

While my very high expectations for TJ's book were definitely met in terms of heat, chemistry and humor I did miss some sort of conflict in the story...expected something like TJ having to make a choice between Pam and his pack or Pam resisting more. However, I understand that with the low page count (in other words WAY too short) there was no room for a conflict to be set up and resolved without sacrificing the strongpoint of the story.

I would have liked a more elaborate epilogue though, especially after finding out this is the final book in the Granite Lake Wolves Series. But...as I also found out there'll be a spin-off series (Yay Shaun! Yay Jared?) I'm hoping for glimpses of the Pam, TJ and the others of the Granite Lake Pack.

Having thoroughly enjoyed reading this series I know that if you loved the previous books in the series, you shouldn’t miss WOLF TRACKS. It’s a worthy last installment of a lovely and humorous set of books and I’m glad I won’t have to miss the wolfies forever as there is more coming from the same world and setting.

I was all hot and bothered and laughing at the same time. I really like this combination in Vivian Arend's writing that never fails to please me. The humor, her signature humor was there in full force from the start. The smile that leeched itself on my face from the second sentence stayed there throughout the entire book. Another great read from one of my favorite Samhain Publishing authors.

I'm loving this series. Vivian Arend's Granite Lake Wolves series has successfully kept me hooked. I love the new focus of characters, but I'm pleased that Arend has left room to allow the characters to interweave. Wolf Tracks consisted of a well developed storyline, which I found refreshing considering this is book 4. The characters were well rounded, interesting and were realistic which is always a good sign considering the genre.
I will be most definitely downloading book 5 in June.

Wasn't so sure about this when I realized TJ was the main male character. He came across as very young and goofy in the previous 3 books. He did mature in this book but I did find myself not enjoying it as much as the others because he just wasn't made out to be the strong Alpha male that I usually like. Pam starts out as a strong female character but there was something missing. For someone that was supposed to be strong she gave in way too easily.

This series really does transport you into the heart of Alaska to run with the wolves. I've been waiting to read TJ's story and I wasn't disappointed. It was lovely to watch TJ woo his reluctant mate and watch Pam find that some relationships really are forever. There's no more books in this series at the moment and I'm heartbroken because I adore the series. Off to beg author to write more!!

Finally, TJ's book! Ever since I met him in book one I fell for his quirky and clumsy character and was thrilled to read his story. I wasn't sure about his pairing being with a human, but the author did not let me down here. Pam is a tough woman and I kinda like the slightly older woman to TJ's 22 years. It was interesting to see TJ's maturity and clumsiness change once he met his mate. Really good!

Pam is Maggie (from Wolf Games) best friend. She is human. The couple meet at Maggie and Erik's wedding and the fun starts there. Loved it. Fun and an easy read just like the rest of the series.

I loved TJ in the precious books. I was excited to see he got his own book. I really liked Pam, his heroine. The fact that she was a K9 handler wad hilarious.

Unfortunately this one ended too quickly. I felt like I was missing a whole bunch of info when it was done. What about TJ's place in the pack? What about Pam's job? Where would they live, etc..

As usual this latest in the Granite Lake Wolves is a great read. The clumbsy boy TJ has grown up and runs into his mate at his brother's wedding, only she is human.
That doesn't deter him though, and he goes after her at full speed. Sweet story filled with romance and humor, I can recommend this book to all.

Once I read that this book involved TJ at it's center I was intrigued. TJ has always been such a goof that it is hard not to like him, but I wasn't sure how he would come across as a romantic lead. But I shouldn't have worried because this was classic TJ. He meets Pam and knows she is his mate and then pulls off classic TJ stunt. He felt he needed to as Pam was a human and knew nothing about werewolves. TJ used his goofiness to woo Pam and slipped in under her skin.

It was a decent read. I never expected a human to be a mate to TJ. I thought Pam was a strong character, more alpha or beta. I also think it's unfair to have a werewolf mate with a human, there are such limitations but they seem to have made it work in the end.
