Love bites when a seventeen-year-old vampire and witch tangle. Marissa Lakeland faces her worst nightmare one dark and misty night when she chases a gorgeous hunk of a guy to prove he's a vampire. So why does the thought of tall, dark and vampiric appeal to Marissa, when there's no way a vampire can compel a witch to do his bidding? At least that's what she's read in vampi ...more

Terry Spear hits paranormal gold as usual. A book for all ages of young love and good versus evil. Dominic and Marissa realize right away they are soul mates but they have a few issues to solve first. An evil Vampire who wants Dominic's soul and Marissa dead. Lots of action to keep you interested in the story. Parents that don't think humans and witches should mix, with little bits of humor thrown in here and there. A warlock who isn't use to the word no. Marissa's best friend Kate and Dominic' ...more

In a few words (not worth wasting my time any more than that): silly, stupid, ridiculous. And ABSOLUTELY SEXIST. Why the hell is the HOTTT!! vampire guy supposed to be soooooo much better at everything than the poor, stupid, clumsy (yes, OF COURSE she is clumsy) girl?? I mean, she is a witch who sucks at witchcraft, and he is not a wizard, but is great at it (this is just an example). My God. Awful book.

I loved this book! It was an interesting read with a cute vampire guy and a beautiful female witch who is just learning her strengths. Dominic and Marissa's story has them learning to use their new powers together as a team, which is a great lesson for everyone to learn as early as possible.

What a bewitching story! Witch meets vampire---and it's love at first sight. Marissa is instantly enchanted by Dominic's interest, but someone even more dangerous hunts her too. I found myself locked into this sweet and daunting tale of young love and the dangerous commitment required to assure they're survival. The author does a terrific job expressing the sweetness of Young Adult but still stays true to the evils of vampirism. Great job Terry!!
This was a quick, fun read with a sweet yet action packed romance between a young witch and a vampire. I really enjoyed that we get to hear the story from both Marissa and Dominic's point of view. I think this really helped me to feel connected with the characters and ultimately to swoon over Dominic's sincere affection for Marissa.Even the secondary characters have me hoping for a sequel to this captivating YA novel.
I really liked Marissa and Dominic! I thought the different paranormal elements were really cool, and I liked the different twists to them. The book started off exciting, and stayed that way for the whole book. They had trouble at every turn in the book, which was bad for the characters, but good for me. The secondary characters were fun too, including the villain, Lynetta. I like vampires, but I really like the unique take on them that this book had. I really want to know what happens next!
