This is the story of Sophy and George, who four years ago married when Sophy was pregnant. Sophy was pregnant by George's cousin, who died not long after Sophy found out she was pregnant, however he had not wanted anything to with the baby anyway. Four years later they were separated and living on opposite sides of the country. When George is seriously injured in a collision with a delivery truck he has no one to look after him so Sophy agrees to help him. As the get to know one another again th...more
George Savas has a tendency to clean up after his now deceased cousin, Ari. George also had an attraction to his cousin’s latest squeeze, Sophy. So it was no hardship for George to step in and proved for the pregnant Sophy when Ari died.

After their seemingly happy start in marriage, Sophy eavesdrops and hears something that she misconstrues. Isn’t that always the case? Well, at any rate, this quickly separates the two and George and Sophy don’t come together again until he is in an accident and...more
I really liked this story. It kind of seemed gentler than a lot of the other Mills and Boon novels that I read, especially as the hero, George, wasn't just the standard 'billionaire' of these romances. I enjoyed reading about his relationship with Sophy, especially as the two characters seemed very in tune with each other. You could actually imagine them as a couple and despite the hesitant start at the beginning of the story they were quite comfortable together. If you met them in real life the...more

I loved everything about this book. There are many positive reviews already, therefore I'll just add that Ms. McAllister's "Hired by Her Husband" is one of the best HP I have read in a long time. Highly recommended!
This is a very good romantic story, the author has a perfect rhythm. I particularly liked the secretive hero and the secondary characters, including the dog, Gunnar.

Hunky guy, beautiful chick, hot storyline and easy to read. That's why I love Mills and Boon, they've got it all!!
Fast-pace, original plot but the conflict was not an emotional tear jerker
