Okay, so if this book was Sidney Sheldon at the top of his game, I'm definitely not reading any of his other books because I really didn't like this book.

First of all, it was way to predictable. Even for me, who doesn't read a lot of mystery novels. So if you're one who loves mysteries and reads them day in and day out, save yourself the trouble and don't read this one, because a few chapters into the book, it's no longer a mystery.

Another thing that annoyed me about this book was our tw...more

A supper complicated mystery/detecive plot in which Tanner Kingsley (the epitome of evil) CEO of Kingsley International Group wants to own the world and is about to do it with his invention that can control the weather all over the globe. Suddenly people are showing up dead. Two widows Kelly and Dianne set out to find out what has happened to their husbands. The book is a modern Perils of Pauline as they get away from their attackers.

I wish i had known in the beginning that there actuall...more

The idea for the book was interesting and I thought I would like it. Unfortunatly, this was one of the worst books I have read in a very long time. The two main characters were annoying, contrite and basically retarded. The other character were also not well developed and outrageous. The plot was not believeable and was pretty damn predictable. I didn't even want to finish the book for a few chapters, but pushed through it anyway. Don't bother with this one...

What a wild ride! The tale has so many twist and turns you need a map to read it. It is a great rainy day read. I was only annoyed slightly by the numerous "lucky" moments of escape. I would have liked to have had more than a cursory glimpse of what motivated the villains because when they reveal their master plot towards the end it is too "mu-ha-ha-ha" for my tastes. Other than that good book.

As usual, Sheldon's novels are fast-moving, featuring beautiful ladies as heroines. What makes his plot fast-paced is, he didn't waste his words on unnecessary description, as women authors usually do.
However, in this novel, there are 2 extra characters introduced, which later on didn't contribute much to the plot. Overall, although this novel is not my favourite, it is a good read.

Just finished this book. It was ok. It was not one of Sidney Sheldon's best I don't think. Granted that I haven't read a Sidney Sheldon book in a while but I remember reading his books and always enjoying it. The heroines would always be great but now it was just ehhh. It got very repetitive. It was just an extended "chase scene" and I hate chase scenes especially ones that drag.

I don't consider myself a book snob, but this was truly bad. The author talks down to his readers. The plot is silly, the outcome obvious, the characters unsympathetic. The author also gave long unnecessary background descriptions about minor characters that seemed to just be there for filler. Some of the speeches and plot twists were so ridiculous they made me laugh out loud.

To anyone who loves science and suspense, then this book is a must-read. Reading this will make you agree with many that sidney sheldon is truly one of today's best storytellers. This book allows you to question what some of the most natural phenomena, like the weather. It also makes you think if the issue presented in this book is not-so fiction after all.

I'm not sure how this book ended up on my reading list, but I was pleasantly surprised when I started it. The mystery and character development kept me intrigued and it was hard to put down. It sure would be scary if we had the power to control the weather...

this book tells us about a community of mafia and they kill their member if they can't be used anymore.
there're 2 women, whose husbands had been killed by that community, search for the truth and they play a game with their life.
