in retrospect, this was probably my most important research document as a young writer.
This is what having extra hormones racing around your body does to you. You go to the library and select a book containing 10,000 baby names (as well as their meanings) and – this is the worst part – you actually read it from cover to cover. 10,000 names!!!!

I love my daughters more than I can put into words, and I will bore people half to death bragging about what wonderful young women they are, but seriously – reading a baby name book? What was I thinking?

Four and a half stars.

This is a surprisingly useful book and is a very satisfying when ferreting for names. It was in this book I found the name I adapted for the character of Giyelmaere in Many-Coloured Realm.

Some really obscure names hidden like jewels in this book.
This is the best name your baby book I've ever had. It includes origins of names and everything. I have a copy and I look at it alot.
I use this for writing, NOT for picking out names for a baby.
