My girlfriend first introduced me to Steve Chandler (SC) through this audio series, as she was trying to ween me off of Tony Robbins (she doesn't like him; long story . .. but I still like him).
The title tends to turn some people off because changing yourself is considered bad in our culture. But what's bad about changing something you don't like about yourself or something that is holding you back from experiencing the juices of life?

A better question than "I gotta be me" and "I don't change" w...more

I listened to the audio version of this book and its very good, not all books translate very well onto audio books but this one works very well. Using audio books is really good because you can do other things while listening.

Steve reads this book himself and at first it sounds like he might be boring but after listening to him a bit you realise that he is not, he has a very calm and fatherly voice and hes words seem to come from lot of experience and caring.

The books not really about reinventio...more

Chandler offers solid self-help suggestions in a down to earth manner of writing. You may find it a bit corny at times, but within this easy and genuine read, you may also discover moments of a deeper, more serious awareness to your current psychological status.

My first impression of the book wasn't great. I felt that Chandler was focused on material gain. So I put the book down for a few months. I picked it back up a few days ago and wondered why I thought that he was concerned with the material.

This book is easy to read and full of great advice. It is an invitation to stop being a victim and start accepting ownership of your spirit. The simple act of consciously addressing the fact that we can choose our emotions, responses to situations, attitudes,...more

Some good points in here. He was doing well until he had to through in Oprah and Depak Chopra. I though he was going to distance himself from that tochey feel crap.

An exceptional follow-up to Chandler's previous book, 100 Ways To Motivate Yourself. He doesn't miss a beat nor an opportunity to inspire in this wonderful work.

Fantastic book that made me really think about many, many things that I want to shift.

Totally a self help book, but the best one I've ever read. it's about taking the old you/parts of the old you, that you don't like and changing it to the new you that you care to become. He gives you simple ways to retrain your thoughts. I think of points he's made throughout the book, daily.

This book is Outstanding. Some stories bring me close to tears, others make me feel high up in the clouds... I consider my review to be relatively premature as I am currently reading and digesting the material. But I can't help it. I give this 5 stars and It's highly recommended!

A fantastic self-help title. Not the sort of dreck most are, and you'll find no rah-rah you are wonderful in here. The title is just what it is. I read Time Warrior first, and I recommend reading both back-to-back as I think they enhace each other.

Loved this motivational title and will probably read it again. Chandler's perspective is practical yet inspiring. My armchair summary of his message?..."Get off the couch and get on with your life <3 "

One of my favorite books. It is easy to read, a real eye opener. Should be entitled how to be happy. But that title is probably already taken.

This book makes me want to do a million things with my life. The first being posting quotes from this book all over my house so I never lose sight. The next being purchasing this book! Everyone should read this. I don't care how perfect you think your life is, how content you are with what you have or if you think you don't have any problems. All three of those things are obviously unrealistic and I think everyone can take atleast one thing away from this and apply it to their life. Amazing.
