Reluctant Astronaut meets Starship Troopers.

Maybe not a full four stars, but gets extra credit for what appears to be the author's first published novel. Wentz also gets credit for apparently staying awake in high school physics, because he got so much right that so many science fiction authors get wrong. (Oh, he made a few whopping mistakes, but it's the same kind the Star Trek writers made.)

In the tradition of Robert A Heinlein, this book's protaganists are young, untried and untested youth, but quickly and capably rise to the challenges presented them, and far exceed expectations of 16 year olds in very adult situations.

Weak writing, limited depth, shallow character development are just a few of the problems with this book. I should have been a little more skeptical when this book was and still is offered free for the kindle.

Great book with a lot of action. The plot and charactors were well developed and easy to follow. This is a great read for the space sci-fi fan both YA and adult.

I highly recommend this book as a great read.

A good old-fashioned space opera. A little more character development, and a lot less awkward English, and it would get another star.
Was a really fun sci-fi book. Easy to read. Loved the story.
