I think this book is mostly in the illustrations. The length would put it into K-5 storytime group, especially if I can make the repetitive jingles interesting. And the story starts to become predictable in pattern, but not in result, so that should also keep interest.

This has the old "To market, to market" rhyme in it. It's funny and a fab read-aloud. It kind of reminded me of the Shel Silverstein poem where the kid trades a quarter for two dimes, then the two dimes for three nickels, etc.
The Styling Librarian
Teeny Weeny Bop has a lady who discovers a special coin that she uses to buy some creatures she thinks will be terrific pets.
Good for storytime.
