Forget e-books when it comes to this book! E-books have a time and a place for certain books, and this, by far, is not one of them. This book is SO beautiful! It is worth having physically, “IN” your library, to look at and see. This beautiful book is a keeper-book. It requires having the ‘real thing'. This hardcover’s dustcover alone

"It's all here" is the perfect description for Everything Christmas. Starting on December 1 you will have readings, recipes, crafts, and more to entertain and enlighten your family from grandparents down to grandchildren. But don't worry - it will be perfect even if you start on December 5! The book itself is gorgeous! The subtle colors on the heavy weight pages make this book feel much more decadent than the price suggests. It is a beautiful gift book ready for a place in your holiday tradition ...more

This is far more than just another craft book or recipe book. This is an Advent book. Every day there’s a new recipe, devotion, story, letter, craft or something that you can share with your family and friends. Everything from Christmas dinners in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and Denmark (as well as a variety of other locations) to the history behind some favorite Christmas hymns. This book has everything that you could possibly need to make your holiday better and perhaps even add some new traditions. ...more

I won this book on Goodreads 1st reads and so glad I did. This book is small but don't let that fool you. There is so much packed into this book. I will get this book out every year in Dec. The title is "Everything Christmas" and it truly is everything Christmas. It's wonderful to read how Christmas actually got started, the history of the stocking, history of the Nativity, Santa's reindeer, and so much more. There are song's included, recipes, Christmas quotes, trivia, poems, Christmas crafts, ...more

This is a lovely little book about Christmas. It's filled with recipes, thoughts and stories. There are historical tidbits about Christmas and Christmas traditions. The book corresponds to the days of the Advent with 24 days' worth of reading.

I was distracted by some editing/proofreading errors which are annoying and unacceptable. I noticed several simply from reading the book and I wasn't reading to edit. The most glaring error was on page 33 in an excerpt from Princess Victoria's Diary, dated

LOVED LOVED LOVED this book. This is not a true advent book...come on book makers, just add a few extra days...but it is SO WORTH it on December 1.

This is pretty unlike anything I've read before for Advent. It has awesome stories, hymns/songs and the history behind them, Christmas around the world, recipes (thank you for reminding me of haystacks...and the wonderfully sweet lady who halved her package of chow mein noodles her daughter brought her from the US), decoration tips, jokes. You name it

I love this book! The title is perfect because it does in fact, have everything! There are lots of books out there for advent, but this one tops them all. This beautiful hardcover book will take you through the advent season with, stories, poems, crafts, gift ideas, trivia, Christmas songs, recipes, amazing Christmas facts and lots of information on how Christmas is celebrated around the world, and of course there is scripture for meditating as well.

Each day is jam-packed with items to get you i

"Everything Christmas" is a wonderful hardbound book just packed with ideas and facts about Christmas. The pages are white with red and green print and graphics giving the book a lovely Christmas "feel".

Based on the advent calendar, the sections are the 24 days before Christmas, and each focuses on a different country and how Christmas is celebrated there. Each section contains a story, recipes, facts, carols, and so much more! I had a wonderful time going through this book and the recipes (Chri

If you celebrate Christmas, you'll love this book. It really is "everything" Christmas. Each chapter represents one day in December. The last chapter is December 24th, which ends with a post-Christmas prayer. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful collection of interesting facts, stories, recipes, crafts, gamses, and traditions from all over the world.

I love Christmas, and will refer to Everything Christmas over and over again. It is a book I will share with my family for years to come.

Everything Christmas is a small, thick book divided into twenty-four daily readings. These include uplifting Christmas stories, both fictional and true, yummy recipes, fun holiday crafts, quotes, jokes, and Bible verses, poems and carols, gift-giving ideas, Christmas trivia and history, descriptions of Christmas dinners enjoyed around the world, and much more. A comprehensive topical index at the back of the book is handy for quick reference.

This book is set up like an advent book. Each day from December 1-24th contains a reading such as a poem or Christmas carol, a story, some recipes, some quizzes, and a historical article about Christmas such as how a certain country usually celebrates it or a biblical story. Each day is approximately 20 pages and there is an extensive index in the back so if you want a search for a specific idea for gifts or decorations or the exact words to a carol, it is easily found. An excellent little book ...more

I was a bit uncertain about this book when I won a copy from, but am now very glad I had the opportunity to read it. I enjoyed many of the stories, poems, and jokes found in its pages. My husband and I were inspired by the recipes and plan on trying some for the upcoming holidays. Everything Christmas is the perfect book to put you in the holiday mood.

This book is a very pleasant read, especially for the holiday season. Set into 24 chapters, it can be read as an advent calendar. It contains stories, song lyrics, recipes, interesting facts and a few corny jokes - all pertaining to the Christmas season. What a relaxing way to spend a few minutes each day!

This is a cute little Christmas handbook. Looking for a nice story for the Christmas occasion? The words for a Christmas carol you can't quite remember? The recipe for "Figgy Pudding?" "Everything Christmas" is a good resource for those Christmas questions.
