This book could be a good lesson for students. One, it teaches kids to not give up on themselves. Two, you could use it as an anti-bullying lesson.

I liked this book because Bobby, the main character, went to someone for help. Instead of trying to do it yourself, you should ask for help.

Now this is a good book. Not only is it about baseball, which is an automatic winner, but it teaches a good lesson. The patter from the players is so real I thought I was back at a little league game. Nice nostalgia. In this book we learn the value of working hard and learning from the best. And also to celebrate all the victories, both big and little. And play ball!

This book is a good book to show children that practice makes perfect and to never give up. In this story a boy nevers hit the baseball but when he starts getting help from a friend and practicing everyday he hits the winning pitch of the game.

When I asked the librarian for a preschooler book about baseball, this is what she gave me. It's an early reader, so kind of tedious to read!

my son actually learned how to stand and hit in base ball from this simple book
I loved this story of tolerating lack of immediate success and hard work.
