The Hunter And The Marked is the second in the The Lorradda Stone series and I would not recommend reading this as a stand alone book as it won't make a lot of sense if you do. Storms of Vengeance is the first book in the series.

I was wanting to like this book more than I did ;) It did have some interesting story lines, but in general was too confusing and slow. John Beachem does not disappoint in this book, which continues the story from Storms of Vengeance. Once again the characters are compelling and well-rounded, this aspect of Beachem's writing is definitely a strength. The storyline keeps the reader engaged, making it difficult to put down. I am looking forward to the next book in this series - talk about a cliff-hanger!!
