Beau had been kidnapped but a supernatural society called the Ouroboros Society. Haven and Beau had been friends for all their lives. Even throughout their previous lives they had either been brother and sister, or really close friends. In my opinion, the biggest theme of the book was the strong bond between Haven and Beau. That Haven traveled across the world to save her best friend. Another theme of the book included betrayal and false images. With that specific theme, I believe that the author is trying to show readers that everyone is not who they may seem to be. Also that not everyone will be the same and people can change throughout time.

As the reader, I believe that the author's view of the world is very doubtful. There had been a secret society with supernatural talented members that defy laws within the state of New York. I am guessing that the author believes that the government either within the state or in the entire country has its' secret ways to control and defy the laws set out in the specific area. She might believe that certain people of a higher class.

The only parts of the book that made me feel uncomfortable was when Haven, the main character, would faint into her previous life visions. Another part of the book that put me at ease was when Haven's friend Leah had visions. Kirsten Miller, the author, described Leah to have fainted, talking in a different tongue, eyes rolled to the back of her head, and looking dead. Reading those parts of the book at night before I went to sleep was a little disturbing. I felt that way because the thought of anyone being at the certain state can make anyone feel frightened. None of the events that I read in the book changed any aspects of my life.

I would recommend this book. This is a series and the next book comes out Fall 2012. Kirsten Miller ended this book leading into the next one. The book is a fictional supernatural romance. I love the suspense and love story the Kirsten Miller built. I would recommend the series to everyone who loves thrillers, and romantic controversy.

As with her prior book, Kirsten’s discussion of reincarnation is original and compelling. She continues to balance the fantastical with realistic elements, though the fantastical takes on a stronger presence by pure plot design.

Epic love story. And yes, I used the words epic and love as in I lovedlovedloved this novel of epic proportions. And I haven't even read the first in the series. All You Can Desire is a fantastic book with plenty of romance, mystery and suspense to keep you reading.

She'll seek the help of the Horae an ancient line of eternal ones. She's sure the key to finding Beau is in one of her past lives and the leader of the Horae is the only one who can show her what she needs to see. But there's a high price on help that could cost her Iain. Moore will have to infiltrate the Ouroboros Society and get close to Adam, yet the deeper she investigates the OS and their school the more unsure Haven becomes of Adam's nefarious activities. Rosier seems sincere in his endeavors to reform the society and help it's youngest members by providing a school to cultivate their unique skills.

Is this all an elaborate plot by Adam designed to draw Haven closer to him. Or is someone else entirely pulling the strings. One thing's for sure, Haven's in deep over her head. With lives at stake and a prophecy of plague at hand Haven and her friends are going to have to make all the right moves to insure their future.

All I desired throughout this book was a strong non-annoying lead character. Kirsten Miller's followup to The Eternal Ones has an almost solid storyline and a great line up of interesting personalities but I found Haven Moore grating. She was a constant in naivete and gullibility, Haven believed everything anyone told her without question, especially from people she hardly knew or had lied and deceived her in the past. Not trusting in the people she clearly doesn't deserve. I actually enjoyed the supporting cast more than the lead. Beau, Iain, Leah, and the other secondary characters are the only redeeming factor in the book, which could at times drag things out or feel like it was going in circles. By the end I felt more for Adam than Haven. This was not as good as the first book for me. I give it one star for the ok story and one for the supporting players.

If you loved the first, you might like this. If whinny heroines are your thing than this is for you. It's quite possible that if you read this book All You Desire could be the end. Or your money back.

Okay, so I loved this book. I have to admit that while I liked the first one, I only bought this one because it was 50% off. I am so glad I did. This was a very fulfilling sequel. It's just that everything Kristen Miller had left me wanting for at the end of book one is exactly what she delivered with this one. Usually an author promises so much exciting stuff and rarely am I as satisfied as I was this time.

Since I happened to have loved all of these books, it comes as no surprise that I was anxiously awaiting Kirsten Miller’s second installment to the Eternal Ones series, All You Desire.

Miller took her happily ever after characters, Haven and Iain out of there love shack in Rome and threw them back into the heart of danger that comes with digging too deeply into the past. Unsurprisingly, choices made in another life have come back to bite them in the rear, but Miller managed to make it new and refreshing by turning everything we thought to be true upside down. While a complete reversal of plot from the first book is fairly standard in sequels, All You Desire managed to accomplish this in a non-rage inducing fashion.

The heart of the novel dealt with the notion of absolutes. In the beginning Haven and Iain are madly in love in Rome and desperately hoping the big bad Adam Rossier never finds them. Iain is allegedly dead, which has granted Haven one free lifetime without Adam trying to woo her, and if he were to find out otherwise, all bets could be off. And with Haven’s paranoia running high, she begins getting signs that their bubble has burst and she and Iain are no longer safe.

Tension builds even higher as she finds out that her best friend, and brother-from-another-mother, Beau is missing. Her whole world in a tail spin forces her into asituation that makes her choose between saving Beau and protecting Iain, and going directly into the lion’s den- back into the Ourobouros Society. Back in New York, fear and distrust put Iain and Haven’s relationship in a bit of danger, Adam suddenly seems to be good to be true, and the line between allies and enemies blur to dangerous levels.

The pages in this book seem to turn on their own, keeping you desperate to make sure Iain and Haven’s lifetimes of love last yet another, and to try and find out who if anyone is the real good or bad guy. Ultimately it becomes obvious that there are no absolutes, because everything is about balance- between right and wrong, good and evil, and even love and hate. The usual cast is back with a vengeance, though I desperately needed more of Beau and Iain. Beau’s sass and loyalty was needed to lighten the book up at times, and Iain was so distant in the Eternal Ones I had hoped to be able to get to know him better. There’s just something so sweet and loving about the both that you want the to be in every scene. New characters appear, making their own interesting mark on the series, and old ones get a very new look.

All You Desire is a worthy sequel to the Eternal Ones and if the surprise at the end of it was any indication, I think we’ll have another look at the many and fascinating lives of Iain and Haven. Make sure to check it out, and tell me what your favorite past life book has been lately!

It seems strange that after reading All You Desire, I had almost forgotten that I had not been the biggest champion of its prequel The Eternal Ones because I found All You Desire to be an absolutely enthralling read. Miller keeps readers hooked by a stream of surprises which leads readers to trust one character and then doubt that same character the next. I tend to get annoyed when I feel that there’s too much conflict of who’s the good or bad guy, but Miller manages to make each new assumption compelling especially when seen from the bigger picture of the deception of limited perception. Additionally, though the good guy/bad guy dilemma has a relatively short plotline for most of the story’s characters, I didn’t feel like things just kept happening because Miller maintained several overarching goals throughout the novel. With realistic character development in response to believable problems and many other interesting complications, All You Desire shows marked improvement over my early impressions of its prequel The Eternal Ones.

Fans of The Eternal Ones will not want to miss its sequel in All You Desire. This novel may also be enjoyed by fans of Fallen by Lauren Kate, the Blue Bloods series, and Reincarnation by Suzanne Weyn.

First, whoever is in charge of naming these books needs to find a new career titling songs. The titles are embarrassing. Also the girl on the cover does not have the crazy curls that Haven is described as having.

I had an extremely difficult time starting this book. The first few chapters are hard to get into with all the whining that Haven is doing. Only when I sat down and forced myself to read a few chapters in one sitting did I get sucked back in.

I am sooo not really into the supernatural romance trend in teen fiction right now but I got sucked into this series on the basis of another (amazing) children's/tween's series by the same author.

When Haven is told that her best friend, and brother from a past life, is missing in New York after flying up there to meet his “soul mate”, another reincarnated soul, she is prepared to do anything to get him back safe and sound. It's a hard decision to make, but after all that Beau has helped her through over the years, she can't just forget about him and hope for the best. Needless to say she finds the quickest plane to New York, with Iain in tow; they both know the risk, yet they are determined to get in, get out (with Beau), and hopefully with Adam Rosier none the wiser. If only life was that simple....

There is so much going on in this book; every time you think you've got it figured out, Miller throws something new at you and suddenly you're not so sure anymore. I loved this, as it kept me on the edge of my seat and also made me think about what I was reading, trying to reach the next conclusion before Miller revealed it to us (though that rarely happened; she's too good). Besides being able to write an amazing mystery/suspense element into this book, Miller also excels at weaving into the story the complex emotions felt by the characters, especially Haven, Iain, and, to some degree, Adam. I may not have acted like Haven did, in fact I know that many of her actions and decisions in this book made me want to bang my head against the wall—or better yet, bang hers. But I still loved every moment of it, and in the end it all came together for a reason.

Oh my gosh! This book I have to say is almost better then the first book(which by the way was an amazingly hard feat to tackle, the first book was awesome!). I will do the pros and cons of this book now.
Pros: Beau finds love! Which was soooo cool. I was hoping him and Owen Bell would end up together! And guess what? They did!!
Iain!!! He was as gorgeous as always, but I felt Adam was more of a main character than Iain in this one(sad I know.)

This book was a pleasant surprise. I remember little from the The Eternal Ones beyond it being one of the seemingly thousands eternal-love-through-reincarnations books that have appeared in the past few years. Obviously I was intrigued enough to pick up the sequel, but I don’t remember much else.

Luckily All You Desire managed to catch me up enough (without a Babysitters’ Club style expository chapter) that it was easy to follow the action even without remembering every detail of the first book. The book also moved from the question of eternal love and the reality of reincarnations to a more political ‘so what happens now?’

What happens now is that there is more than one group of reincarnated souls each with its own agenda. Only Haven doesn’t have much of an idea what’s going on, but all parties seem to consider her the fulcrum on which everything turns. On one hand, this didn’t make much sense, but on the other, since she’s both a blank slate unburdened by thousands of years of memories and also a familiar quantity, the other players can attempt to predict the decisions she’ll make.

I really enjoyed the Horae, the group of twelve ‘sisters’, who’ve been reborn life after life with the sole mission of taking down Adam Rosier. They definitely weren’t the fairy godmothers they wanted to portray themselves as, but the shades of gray in their purpose and actions were interesting to watch develop. The other character I absolutely adored was Leah, her snake handling upbringing, visions of the future. She was so above all the reincarnation insanity that it was absolutely hilarious.

Like I said, the politics and some of the characters intrigued me, but Haven still strikes me as very, very dumb more often than not. After making her choice between Iain and Adam in the last book and spending a happy year in a serious relationship with Iain, she’s again questioning her choice, seemingly only at the behest of the plot instead of through any real character development on either side. She seems oblivious to the intrigue swirling around her and basically believes whatever the last person said...right up until someone else comes by with a new story.

Normally I have a soft spot for the established love interest, but Adam is so much more interesting than Iain - even if his passion for Haven seems inexplicable. Though he’s thousands of years old and apparently the embodiment of chaos, he continues to change and adapt to his surroundings, making actual choices that affect his future and completely alter the future of the Ouroboros Society which he’s spent the past hundred years running.

The writing in All You Desire is much better than what I remember from the first book as is indicated by Miller’s ability to draw the nearly minuscule details scattered throughout the novel into a cohesive and interesting plot. I hope, however, that in the inevitable third installment (because the ending makes the intention clear) this will extend to the characterization of Haven and Iain. When the third book comes out, I’ll probably pick it up if I see it at the library, but I’ll mostly be doing it in hopes that the Horae and Leah come back.(less)

While the only reason I put The Eternal Ones on my list was because it took place in east Tennessee, I ended up being pleasantly surprised by Miller's writing. It's a bit thicker than other YA books, but it reads just as easily and just as quickly. All You Desire is that really good second book one seeks in a trilogy. While I rated its predecessor five stars, this sequel had moments of brilliance and also moments of fizzle. I think the storyline in the first book was much more intriguing, the romance was a bit more ardent and the characters were better developed in the initial book. Im not sure how i feel about book two. on one hand i got to see the backstory behind the characters and Adam is further explained, on the other hand i felt like it was almost a repeat of book one with the exception the Adam is not completely evil. Nothing is truly ever resolved because it seems everything is destined to repeat itself like history. i finish this book with a sense of dread and resignation because of that. This book I think was good, I liked it and yes maybe all you haters- Haven was going back and forth and deciding who to trust between everyone......But isn't that how everyone is...
So don't hate, and give this book a try, I enjoyed it. Oh my gosh! I actually ended up liking this book better than the first one, although I didn't think I would at first. The ending was perfect, and all the characters I had a strong emotional attachment to were exonerated, and all the ones I hated were vilified! I was quite scared Adam and Owen would both turn out to be evil, but they weren't, which is great. It's very rare that sequels are as good or better than the first book. However with this book that is the case. I was at first apprehensive because The Eternal Ones was so original and fascinating, I didn't believe any story after it could live up to its greatness. Just finished it and all I can say is: wow. So much better than The Eternal Ones! Though at points it was annoying me and sometimes the plot would slow down to slug speed, it's a solid five stars for me!

Well, that was exhausting!... it was rough getting there, but I did finish ALL YOU DESIRE (Eternal Ones #2). To be honest, it’s more of a 2 ½ stars book for me, but that’s not an option, so I rounded up for reasons that are soon to be clear. The first 300 pages were somewhat torturous and if it wasn’t for the last 100 pages the book would have been a complete wash for me.

Two major issues with ALL YOU DESIRE; First, the pacing is painfully slow for most of the book and Second, Haven is just so incredibly unlikeable and frustrating that you can’t help but want to slap her, repeatedly! Does this girl have any clue what she wants?... Who she’s in love with?... What she believes?... Or even who’s side she’s on? Haven doubts the people she cares for most in her life, even questions the motives of those she knows better then herself at the urging of near strangers and Adam, who she knows might just be the devil himself by his own acknowledgement. So wishy-washy, so frustrating!

Now if you manage to stick it out through the first 3/4ths of AYD, there is a payoff. In fact, if the rest of the book had been written with the same fever and feel as the last bit, Mrs. Miller really would have had something; which make it all the more frustrating for me as a reader, knowing the writing skills and potential were there, but sadly weren’t fully executed.

This leads me to my dilemma… I despised this book and the time I was wasting investing in it most of the way through, but I am not a quitter so I powered on and in payment for that determination, I am faced with a dilemma. Do I scrap the series from this point on or, if there is a 3rd book to come, do I continue? I know the answer may seem obvious, since it’s clear I wasn’t exactly ALL YOU DESIRE’s biggest fan, but honestly those last 100 pages really were good, captivating even. I went from forcing myself through each page to suddenly (and completely unexpectedly) unable to put it down. So now what? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I really liked the fresh concept of the series and many of the characters; so If book three comes out and Haven is cured of her gullibility and decides to actually start using her brain and making decisions for herself and Miller keeps writing in the pace in which she finished AYD up with, I’d say I would be open to reading that book… excited even.

Thank you, just thank you for writing a gorgeous second novel. All You Desire is probably, only a little bit though my favourite out of the two, Haven and Iain are just as amazing and with Beau in danger it all hits the fans! Adam Rosier, is the bad guy...who you love! He's swarve, sophisticated and gorgeous (more so than Iain? I've yet to decide). Okay, seriously, this is why I don't read incomplete series'. Because I get so hooked that when there is not a sequel to look forward to I have to wait!!! Kirsten Miller please tell me you are writing a sequel! I hung on every single word, found myself fighting the urge to open the book just to read one sentence during the stupidest and most inappropriate moments possible! I actually picked this book up at Borders when they were going out of business and after I started reading it I realized it was the second one in the Eternal Ones series. Just with that first chapter I was already hooked, I stopped reading, ran out,bought and devoured the first book. I love the idea of reincarnation and this is the first book that I've ever read that really interwines it into the story and does it well. I hate Haven with a passion.

I don't mind most of the characters, they are all fine with the exception of Haven, which is sad as she is the protagonist. What is it with this girl and indecisiveness!!! Seriously make up your mind already, either you trust someone or you don't - there's something called GUT FEELING, try following it next time! Jeez...
