The Chronicles of Narnia are a wonderful series of children's books by an incredibly gifted author. I recommend it highly for kids and young adults. Most of us who read it as children re-read it several times over our lifetimes.

This book still had all of the wonder and magic that it had for me when I was a kid. In fact, the book probably means more to me now then it did then. Because now I can understand all the various undertones of the story. When I first read the book I was too young to understand all that was going on under the surface of the main plot. So, to be able to see and digest all the many layers made the book more rewarding and enjoyable. This is a great series and I plan on re-reading the rest of the boo

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is one of C.S. Lewis's first edition to the Chronicles of Naria. It all began with a war in London which then caused the children to move with their aunt for safety. The youngest daughter then begins to explore the house and finds a wardrobe. Only to discover a new world, temptation leads her in. She finds the world of NARNIA. There she meets a faun, Taumnus, who then becomes her friend and they have tea together. She then tells him she has to leave

The book I’m reading is called the chronicles of Narnia the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. The author of this book is C.S. Lewis. He has not only written this book, but many more to this series. If you have ever heard of this book you know that there is a movie to go with it. The movie came out in 2006. The director made the movie resemble the book in many ways. The author wrote this book to provide a fantasy adventure kind of life for people who like adventurous things. The author wrote the

I read this one in Spanish. The language was simple enough that I didn't need my dictionary too much, and the story moved quickly enough that I didn't get too bored. I probably should read it in English since it is a classic and I truthfully didn't catch many details as I went through.
I liked the old professor who challenges the kids skepticism of Lucy's Narnia. I suspect this is the aspect some believe is Lewis' allusion to Christianity.
Overall, enjoyable.

when I was little my mother would read this series to my sibblings and I. I loved it! and then when I was big enough they were some of the first books I read. I still go back and read them on occasion and can still get totally lost in them. They carry with them some of my fondest childhood memories of cloudy days at home. Although tthis book was the most famous it was one of my least fav. of them. Williams is emaginative and inventive!

All nine songs from the soundtrack to the fantasy film follow-up to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, featuring music from composer Harry Gregson-Williams, as well as Regina Spektor (The Call) and Switchfoot (This Is Home). Also features great full-color scenes from the film. Includes: Arrival at Aslan's How A Dance 'Round the Memory Tree The Door in the Air Journey to the How The Kings and Queens of Old Lucy Return of the Lion.

Having read this in middle school I have been meaning to re-read it so I bought a bargain book copy while attending a conference in Louisville, Kentucky this week. My 6 hour delay at their airport offered plenty of time to read it today!! Now I am ready to read it with our 6 year old daughter who loves "chapter books" -- a big step for our little girl. I very much enjoyed re-reading this book especially the symbolism of Aslan.

Four children find a wardrobe and enter it. Inside this wardrobe was not just darkness but a new place. It was a place under the control of an evil witch. These four children later are hunted by the witch because of the legacy told to her that 4 children will stop her rein of evil. She tries to kill them before the legacy becomes true but along the way of the new place, Narnia, m

This book talks about how 4 kids move into a new house and they find a secret closet and inside that closet is a whole new world. In this book it shows trust. They meet new people in the new world called Narnia. They trust each other and helped each other through bad times. They found what they really love and what is really important to them. I really like this book.

I sort of liked this book because it was about an adventure and I like books about adventures.I also watched the movie of "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" it was better than the book. The book was OK too but, I just like the movies better then the books. I would rate this book as a C-. If I were the author I would have added more fighting scenes in the book and added more details in the book.

So was Aslan the Great supposed to be a lion version of Jesus Christ, or was that connection unintentional? I couldn't help but think, Wait, this coming back from being murdered and saving everybody and everyone loving you and then disappearing, claiming by prophesy to come again sounds a bit familiar....

This book was really surprising. I never expect things would happen that way. Im not saying is bad, actually I think i a great novel. One thing I know, is that i woul read over again. This novel is super unique. Its not like most the books are, this one has its own secret that makes it so special.

An fantasy adventure that teaches kids about good and evil with Christian themes when Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy find a magical place when they pass through the wardrobe. They become Kings and Queens and meet a lion named Aslan and help fight the white witch who want to take over Narnia.

I remember loving the book and the movie as a child. I had looked forward to the most recent movie with a lot of anticipation, but I was disappointed despite the high production value. I've been wondering if I should re-read it as an adult, to see if I'm simply not as fond of the story.

I read this to my son, because as a child it was the first chapter book that I read and turned page after page with pure excitement. I was so happy when they attempted to make it into a movie, but we all know that movies can never capture the real magic of a great book.

I've been looking for Aslan all my life. How can a book have such a long lasting impression? Aslan captures strength, love, power and honesty. How did the author create this character? Read this book and understand so much about being human that is genuinely of a higher order.

This book is the 2nd to the S.C Lewis Chronicles Of narnia. I have to say, this book is nothing compared to The Magicians Nephew! I think it is still pretty though. I do like the way they get into narnia. I suggest this book to anyone who likes to read and has spare time.

This book was about a family with four children. It tells about how they go through a magical wardrobe and end up in this fairy-tale world. When their little brother Edwin gets kidnapped it tells about what they go through to get him back. It a very intense thrill seeking book.

I read this book back in grade school and saw the movie recently. Thought I would give it another read and was glad I did. It is more than just a children's book as one might think. He has a very good way of writing about temptation, sin and how it affects people. A great read.
