Joan Freeman seems like a lone voice in the study of giftedness, looking at the whole person, not just at school achievements, scores and prizes. By following gifted children over decades, she is able to trace their stories into midlife.

I found this book to be very helpful in presenting a variety of narratives, and letting me pull out themes and principles.

I found it to be affirming of many of my choices, and to introduce new concepts that I will continue to roll around in my head.

Worth reading
This book was so boring. It did not deliver what the blurb promised. I couldn't finish it! Also I did not agree with the authors definition of gifted. Way too airy-fairy for me!
