I love tales of "best friends become lovers" and I'm also big into angst. This is a lot of story packed into a few words, and I would have loved it to be longer, to elaborate on what life was like before for these two men, and the events that shook their lives. The cover is excellent, because that's just how I see these two. They deserved their happy ever after. Is a sequel planned? Can we revisit the boys later? Can we, huh?

Revenge is a Dish is fast-paced; the entire story takes place in four days. Kent Tyler and Neil Carson both work for Winton Enterprises and have known each other for several years. They both secretly love each other. During four harrowing days, they find themselves captured and trapped in a small cell for unknown reasons by a man only known as Wolf. The novel spends most of its time revealing the motivations behind the kidnapping; as the name suggests ~ its revenge.

The romance is strictly second

I guess I'm getting old because although I enjoy the m/m sex scenes, I want some plot to go with it. That's why I liked this book, plus the fact that the writing was well done. I was on a buying spree at Rainbow books during their 30% off and missed this one by about three minutes. I bought it anyway because the author's summary pulled me in.

So-so m/m romantic suspense about two coworkers and friends who are kidnapped for an unknown reason by an unknown person. The writing was choppy, the timeline didn't feel plausible, and I never connected with the main characters.

Okay I really tried to give this book this book a chance, but the writing was so sophomoric that I thought I was reading someones creative writing assignment. The characters are so cardboard. The plot could have been handled with a better writer...maybe. One thing that just clinched it for me though is when Neil tells Kent he is in love with him,(this I can understand when facing a possible certain death), but for the two to start making out with each other while in eminent danger
