Victoria was just taking her dog down to the pet shop for his shots; how could she guess that she would find the pet shop owner dead on the floor? Unfortunately, the sheriff wasn’t real understanding about it.

A cute cozy mystery with heavy relying on God! What a breath of fresh air! This is my first book by this author but one I will rave and rave about. At first, with all the introductions of new people it was hard to catch on to but all the sudden I found myself unable to put it down. I love when that happens. Our main herione, Victoria, runs a boarding house for elderly, most of them being friends of her grandmother, whom has passed. Victoria and her elderly loved ones are once again thrown into a...more
This cozy mystery really hits the spot. Victoria attempts to solve mysteries, run a boardinghouse, and befriend a young confused girl while attempting to make Christian decisions. These remind me of an adult Nancy Drew type mystery but has the added Christian element. While there are a few subplots none of them make the reader feel confused. They all seem to fit together quite nicely. This is a series but can be read alone quite nicely.

It was just OK for me. Even at the end, I didn't fully understand the motive for the murder, and along the way in the book, I felt it went off on a tangent from the true focus-the murder. It might be a little interesting to those interested in the Holocaust, but since I didn't expect that when I picked up the book, it didn't grab my attention. Just fair.
Rest in Peace by Frances Devine is a cozy Christian Hometown Mystery. It was a very quick pleasant read. I liked the parrot Whatzit and the way the senior citizens from the rest home wanted to get involved every step of the way in the investigation. I recommend this to fans of other cozy mysteries. You won't be disappointed.

FRANCES DEVINE is first a Christian, second a Mom, grandmother and great grandmother. After that, the most important thing in her life is books. Like most authors, she can’t remember a time when she didn’t love to read. And right from the beginning, she was crazy about mysteries. When she was in her sixties, she decided it would be fun to write them and the Miss Aggie series was born. She has also...more
