Nightmares and Dreamscapes is classic King: short fiction that can bend your sanity with anxiety and terror. This is to say, some of the best emotional and literary horror writing out there. If you don't like horror, you probably won't like this. If you hate being scared stiff, you should stay far away from Nightmares and Dreamscapes. But - if you *love* a good horror yarn, and you appreciate a book that's broken up into well crafted, manageable little tales that are certain to keep you awake at ...more

Totalmente lovecraftiano, me encantó.

"El último caso de Umney"
Un detective priv

I read Sneakers by itself.

Growing up , the K I reached for was Koontz over King everytime . The handful of attempts to read King didn't enthrall me like Koontz's usually did (for record, koontz's writing dropped off a lot for me after Bad Place).

Years later, I'm planning to try and read Dark Towers and see if I can get into it now when I couldn't at 13. I thought it was telling when I learned later in life that the one book I did like and re-read was a throwaway effort just to make his wife hap

Although I believe the 1st book was better, I still recommend it. Its not as scary as expected, but Kings amazing style is there.

Stephen Edwin King was born the second son of Donald and Nellie Ruth Pillsbury King. After his father left them when Stephen was two, he and his older brother, David, were raised by his mother. Parts of his childhood were spent in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where his father's family was at the time, and in Stratford, Connecticut. When Stephen was eleven, his mother brought her children back to Durham, M ...more
