Not great. Not very in-depth. I'm thinking the book was either rushed out and/or subjects were not cooperative. True crime fast food.

It gets 2 only because I finished it. This book was a hot mess of semi-related articles. Each chapter touched on a different aspect of the case, but there was never enough so there might be pages of the history of the jail building or chapters on the make-up of the SWAT team, but ultimately very little about the villains and the victims. What a sad story. Not only the loss of the parents murdered but sad for the young teen who committed the murders in a fit of confused rage.
I rememberd the Amber Alert/manhunt making headlines in 2005 when this murder happened. The book was an good synopsis of what happened, but not a very in-depth acount of the case.
