Y'know, decent book. It's got some "new historicism" running through it, but it wasn't overbearing. Good resource into life and times of Shakespeare, even if some things you'll want to take with a grain of salt.
Very helpful for anyone interested in Shakespeare. Provides the history of theatre in England in addition to some interesting biographical information about Shakespeare. Good analyses of the plays, as well.
A great addition to any student of Shakespeare's reading library, particularly concerning research and historical accuracy.
what is more boring than a Shakespeare play? A companion book filing in all the blanks.
