This was quite poorly done. It IS an abridged version of the episode but that part isn't too bad; the parts cut aren't (for the most part) essential to the plot and the storyline is still mostly in tact. The Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith, and Harry are sent to Skarro by the Time Lords and the Doctor is tasked with either halting or altering the creation of the Daleks. Tom Baker provides the narration for this audio abridgement of the BBC television serial by the Daleks’ creator Terry Nation. The narration is minimal compared with other radio adaptations of the science fiction TV show. Interestingly enough, this allows the dialog to flow smoothly, and the result is an above average radio drama. This audio edition of Genesis of the Daleks was first published in 1980.

“’Exploration Earth: The Time Machine’ was recorded and broadcast in 1976” as an educational au

a very good audio adaptation of a classic story. my only gripe would be that there is rather limited narration. unless you remember the episodes quite well it is sometimes hard to work out what is happening. the b side is a BBC radio program for schools from 1975. not particularly gripping but an interesting remnant from a bygone era.
