"When measured solely by sheer volume of his preserved houses and other literary landmarks, Edgar Allan Poe is the most popular and celebrated American Writer in our history. With three houses and a cordoned-off dorm room at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, he holds the record."

This issue convinced me to renew my subscription. I particularly enjoyed the story by Charles Baxter and the article by Lewis Hyde. I've subscribed to McSweeney's and Conjunctions in the past, but so far, to my taste, Tin House is the best of the bunch.

Recommends it for: the literate
One of the most topical and best-written Tin House issues to date. I'm really glad that someone gave me a subscription this year, or I wouldn't have been able to find this in Europe. Highly recommend it.
