another Little Critters favorite. I have pondered a small tattoo of the critter on the cover ..just the way he is in those pajamas. I'm pretty sure I had similar pj's once when I was little. LOVE these books.

Next to "Where the Wild Things Are," the Mercer Mayer Little Critter books were my son's favorite bedtime reading when he was little. I probably read this one and other Mayer books to him a hundred times. Personally, these were also my favorites to read to him. I'm going to include reviews on those that I particularly remember.
Each Mayer book dealt with real issues that kids experience. Here's one about Little Critter not wanting to go to bed and doing whatever he can to More...

I have read this book before. I love the imagination of the little boy or whatever he is. But on another note, I had to read this to do a homework assignment so I am not as thrilled with this time reading it.
Reading it once, fun, then reading it and picking apart all the VCe words, all irregular words, letter combination words, and multiple part words is not fun. Now I get to write lesson plans for the book. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my personal favorite to read to my daughter because she did not like bedtime. She would think of anything to stay up like read me another story or I need some water. This critter in the story was getting closer and closer to time to go to bed and he was not happy about it.Great read for that two year old and up who do not want to go to bed.

I love these little books for the illustrations and the simple truths they convey about little ones and what they do, try to do, fail to do, etc. They make me laugh. Plus, it's fun to have the kids look for the little critters' "pets" on each page.

This is a very cute book and shows how imaginative children really are! I like how the dad always comes in and tells him he needs to do something to get ready for bed and every time the son is a different character. Easy dialogue for young readers.

This is a great book about imagination, make-believe, and playtime that usually happens when it's time for a little one to go to bed! I have to convince and sometimes yell at my niece, who is now 8, "Just go to Bed, like I said."

One of my favorite Little Critter books, in which he pretends to be a spaceman, zookeeper, cowboy, general, sea monster, train engineer and more. This is all while his dad is trying to get him bathed and in bed, finally exclaiming "Just go to bed!", which is very funny if you've ever tried to get a kid to bed who didn't want to go. Recommended for ages 6 months+, 4 stars.

The animated characters' face expressions are really good!!
A parent's patience with little one's imagination has limits when it comes to bed time!!
Loved that cute lil critter!

I bought this one for my son's Christmas on purpose because of the title, although we love Mercer Mayer. It's a softer touch than "Go the F*** to Sleep." :)

This book shaped my childhood! I still tell my mom, "I'm a zookeeper" when she says it's late, even though now I'm almost 30 now. :P

Bed time is challenging for both kids and parents.
Expressing children's stubbiness and strong imagination... Really liked it

It's even harder to get him to bed at 15. :) A Mercer Mayer book--easy to read and easy on the eyes.
