Jamie Madrox comes face-to-face with the thing that terrifies him the most: having to make a decision. The divisiveness of Civil War has spread to his own team: Half of them want to cooperate with the government; the other half wants to take a stand against it. It's Jamie's choice that may well decide whether X-Factor stays together or cracks apart. And matters aren't bein...more

There are two ways for an ongoing comic series to handle crisis-crossover events successfully. A) They can be used as a jumping off point, providing material for stories that could last potentially for years to come, or B) They can be skimmed over as quickly as possible, as the editorially mandated crossover is used as an opportunity to enhance the themes of the book rather than a major plot-arc, with as little damage as possible to the real story the book's trying to tell. The second volume of...more

The first volume of X-factor is good, but it really starts to come together in volume two. Still can't stand Rictor, but everyone else is aces. The bad thing about this book is its use of Monet St Croix makes me want to read Generation X. I wonder if that book holds up?

There is something about super hero comics that reminds me of soap operas, everyone is just a bit too pretty and the series goes on and on and on. But as far as those comics go, this series is ok. X Men fan would love it probably.

I'm loving comics right now! I keep telling myself: "My other book is War & Peace".

This continues the story of a band of rag-tag mutants. My favourite is Layla, she "knows stuff". Ready to read the next one...

Again, this line is just amazing. And, I love time travel and alternate realities, especially involving apocalyptic stuff. Yay! I'll be so sad when I catch up to where I started getting the individual comics and have already read.
Michael
Pretty good, but it's been a while since I read Volume 1, so the continuity was confusing to me.

I read this a few days ago so I already forget the details, but I liked it. Peter David is good.
Angela
More detective noir fun from XFactor. Decimation and Civil War are covered in this volume.
Darwin
Books like these are the reason I read comics.

i love peter david... he does great things with these characters, especially in this volume. i don't think i've ever read a team book anywhere near as good as the new x-factor series. i'm still so-so with the artists they choose for this book. i wish they could find somebody that can do this book justice. that would make me a happy camper... but regardless.. grade A, five stars, must read for any x-fan etc.

I love the way the whole first year of X-Factor closes out. The concluding three-parter is great, and the dark, murky art is fantastic.
Joey
peter david continues his smart take on one of the least dynamic x-teams.
