I'm a Huge fan of Brenda Jackson. Gemma and Callum's story was very romantic in the way of Boy helps best friend sees best friends sister fall in love with best friends sister but can never tell her in fear of scaring her away because of her views on men. Personally, novelettes don't appeal because they are too short in certain instances. This is a story that needed to develop slowly. The first part was fair enough, albeit scanty in substance needed to make characters irresistible, while the end seemed completely rushed. This book would have been better as a novel, not a novelette. The first part seemed fair enough while the end seemed rushed due to the 185 page format. I couldn't get into the Aussie getting it on with hard hearted Gemma or the fact their only separation happened because Gemma finally began to think she had gotten in a relationship where she crossed the line and he hadn't. Very cute plot, Callum has been in love with Gemma for 3 years but she has no clue about it. He convinces her to come to Australia to decorate his huge mansion that is actually for her. Did not like Gemma. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin at 25 but to not have had an orgasm at 25 is damn near unbelievable. cute short story but waaay too predictable and so full of cheesy lines.
Callum, who by the way has an awful name, it reminds me of Gollum so that was the first strike for me and a biiiig one!, he's a genius!, seriously, he planned it all and the whole thing worked out perfectly. bah!!
And what about Gemma, a 24, almost 25 year-old virgin... wtf?!... that's not sexy, it's just plain stupid!, and as Gollum was smart, Gemma was dumb!

I probably shouldn't give this book any stars since I did not finish it... but hey! This is my review and I did read more than the first paragraph. I read several chapters and honestly there was nothing about the story, the characters, or the romance that interested me enough to turn one more page. Overall the story was disappointing. As always Brenda Jackson does a remarkable job with her characters. This book is good light reading and was very enjoyable. Callum has been in love with Gemma since the moment he first saw her. Gemma believes that she will never give her heart to any man, because all men do is break women's hearts. Callum comes up with a way to get under Gemma's skin and into her very heart, because Callum is sure that Gemma is the one.
It seemed fast to me, her making the decision to sleep with him I mean. However, other than that good story and I already knew about the characters from previous Westmoreland books. She has a way of investing you in not only the main characters of the story but the ones on the outside too and these two were introduced in the previous (Chloe and Ramsey's) story.

Started this book this morning and I just finished it. It was a good fun read. I really enjoyed how Callum and Gemma fell in love. Talk about patience he waited 3yrs before he decided to finally do something about it. love Calling he is willing to do and give Gemma anything she wants. Good couple!!!
I love Gemma's character. I love how Callum set up that business deal to get to know Gemma better. I love how Callum took Gemma back to his country to meet his family. I love how Callum got the Westmoreland he wanted for so long. It was a good story to read.
i read this to force myself to start practicing spanish... and that's about all it was good for. i can accept boy loving girl from afar for three years, but i don't think we ever learn why she is so irresistible/lovable. i didn't see it.
I recently got hooked on the Westmoreland series. I loved this story and I am looking forward to reading them all. If you haven't already checked her out please do. All of her books are good.
There's a strong male presence in this story. The guy really knows what he wants and sets about putting it into action in an interesting way. Liked the Australian flavor to this story.

Love Brenda Jackson writing! Of course, it's a romance so nothing different just Jackson's regular writing style which I love.
Really like this book even though it was short.Had a good story line and loved how the hero wooed his lady love.This book had romance in spades!!
This was a such great love story and I really enjoyed Callum and Gemma's romance, and I just loved how Callum was so loyal and such a gentleman. This was an AWESOME read!
Recommended by a friend for a good airport read. It was decent and entertaining.

A great love story. I was really interested in reading about Gemma Westmoreland's love affair with Callum. I really liked these two characters. This may be one of my favorite Westmoreland romances.
GEMMA AND CALLUM'S STORY WAS A PREDICTABLE, SWEET AND QUICK READ!
Not that big of a fan of the book but it was an easy read.
