I gave this 4 stars for the photography alone. It's a really beautiful book, and you can't help but smile when looking at all that gorgeous candy. She also features lots of cute ideas for holidays, showers, weddings, etc that are kind of different but not that hard to put together.
I didn't care at all about her 'passion for candy' and the autobiographical stuff is pretty much throw-away. She had a very typical life for the daughter of a fashion mogul; I just couldn't get any interest. But borro...more

I found out about this book through a feature in the October issue of BHG magazine, where there was a little profile and a cute idea for making gummy candy skewers. I loved that idea so I checked out this book but sadly, that was about the only cute idea in it. The rest of it was really disappointing and filled with silliness. I was hoping that a book like this would give some neat, sophisticated ideas for using candy in decorating or gifts but the crafting ideas were really cheesy and not somet...more
The candy just leapt off the page. Dylan Lauren's love of candy is absolutely evident in this book. I loved the use of candy in all the occasions that make a day special. The photography was so vibrant and bold.
I love all the pictures in this... lucky her for being the daughter of the one & only Ralph Lauren... of course she has the means to make my dream come true... establishing a candy empire... :( ... Extra money also means Duke University...
