This was an excellent book. It taught me the truths about God. It helped me understand God and John better. It is meant to be read slow and to be studied. The benefits are great.

This is third of Pastor Swindoll's Insights series I have read and I enjoy them very much. They are very pastoral in tone. He explains certain concepts in a very helpful way and includes helpful illustrations and examples. We would have some theological differences, but on the whole, we get along pretty well. These are not an extremely scholarly commentary, but are perhaps an advanced layman's commentary.
