I've just begun reading this book and, already, I think it's fabulous and funny! Terrific characterizations and an intriguing premise keep me looking forward to more.

ETA: This book is just delightful!! The characters and the comedy kept me reading, even during an intensely busy time. More to come soon, as far as a full review, but I highly recommend this story and look forward to more by Ms. Ramer!

It's a body switch story, except it's between a human woman (who happens to be psychic) and a female cat. Belle, the cat, who finds she generally dislikes how complicated it is to be human. I love that she doesn't let anyone get to her, and continues to come and go as she pleases and does what she wants, she stays very catlike in attitude. Highlight of being human? Learning to use the can opener so she can eat tuna anytime. Also she learns how to read and gets sucked int...more

At first, I had issues with the way characters were kinda put out there right out the gate. It was not a bad thing, it had more to do with me and my recent reading habits. I have been reading two person books... maybe three... So, I was not in the frame of mind to read and remember all these characters. I actually put it down for a little while. Okay... it was only like for about an hour because I simply had to know what happened to Belle and Max. Ms. Edie did an awesome job of roping me in! And...more

Edie Ramer did a phenomenal job in writing a book that truly has it all! It is fun, funny, dangerous, mysterious, and filled with a perfect combination of suspense and romance. It's Chick-Lit meets Paranormal Romance, and the combination is explosive! Check out my interview with author Edie Ramer on www.paromantasy.com

Belle is a cat that has it all - a beautiful home, an owner (Max) who adores her, and naps in the bed. Her world is turned upside down when Caroline, a widow currently living in Be...more

Edie Ramer’s debut novel, Cattitude is a clever, sometimes laugh-out-loud story about a woman and cat who change bodies. Two untidy romances follow on the heels of the transformation. Cat turned woman falls for her owner, and woman turned cat falls for a little girl with a heart of gold and a deep longing for . . . you guessed it . . . a cat! A gun wielding killer and gold-digging floozy add just enough danger and conflict to carry the story nicely from start to finish.

As a snobbish reader who g...more

What a silly, stupid, and pointless book.

... And I actually stayed up late reading that drivel because I could not put it down.

Seriously, this was a lot of fun! It was very silly and pretty darn pointless, but let's be real... it's a book about this cat who swaps bodies with a lady, both of which who have murderous crazy people after them. What I liked most about this book is that it didn't pretend to be anything more than what it is - just a cute little fun break from reality. There was no try...more

Cattitude is full of sass and quirkiness. This cute, original story features Belle, whose owner, Max, is being stalked by the gold-digging Caroline. Caroline wants Max’s millions but not his cat. Fortunately, Belle survives being thrown in front of a car by the evil Caroline, and ends up trading bodies with the driver, Sorcha, who’s a psychic.

Belle’s and Sorcha’s lives become interesting and crazy, but even as Belle grows to like her human body more and more as she falls in love with Max, she re...more

I LOVED this book. As a cat lover, I was drawn to the tagline: Anything a human can do a cat can do better. How perfect! That's a sentiment I see my cat thinking every day. In her heroine, Belle, Edie Ramer has managed to capture the feline thought process and translate it into a humorous and endearing character who charmed me from the first page. The book is often laugh out loud funny, as when Belle is considering living life as a woman instead of a cat and decides she'd rather have a hairball...more

Hilarious and entertaining! Cattitude was intriguing, let's face it a cat turning into human and having to adjust to walking, eating, learning to talk and read, and yikes, taking a SHOWER for crying out loud. I absolutely loved all Belle's and Max's parts of the book! Cattitude is fresh, new and hilarious!

Now the the critique part... There were too many point-of-views that distracted a reader from the story and it slows the book down, if it had been up to me I would have cut off Gwen and Phil's...more

This was a fun, quirky read. Belle is a cat who is adored by her human, Max. One day Max's evil former beauty queen interior designer throws Belle in front of a car to kill her. The woman driving the car, Sorcha, and Belle somehow exchange bodies and Belle ends up in a human body. Sorcha the psychic ends up in Belle's cat body.

The book follows the three women: Belle the cat turned human, Sorcha the human turned cat, and Caroline the interior designer who has designs on Max. The one character I...more

Belle is happy with her life as a cat, she lives with her owner Max and is adored by him and his brother & sister. She rules the roost as all cats do and is fed, petted and fussed over on demand - it's a cats life! However with more than one person out to get her she is going to have to use all her cat wiles to make sure...more

Good mystery, very sweet romance with lots of humor. If you love cats you need to try this book. There is a great cast of characters to enjoy. This is a fun and light read not for those who takes their story serious. I would recommend this to PNR reader that likes their stories light on the sexual side.

This book is for people that wouldn’t mind a cat swapping souls with a human and for that cat to use that body *clears throat* for things LOL.
I found Belle very witty, smart and possessive to Max...more

I loved the originality of this novel, the sort of "Little Mermaid" gone horribly wrong! Belle is scrumptious in her "Cattitude" and I simply loved how she modelled pretty much everything based on a Soap Opera! Simply delicious.

The only negative thing I would say about it, and the reason this gets 4 stars, is that at some point, there were just too many characters thrown in the mix. Though it was well done, it was still, nonetheless, a bit confusing.

All in all, this is one novel I would strongly...more

I just reviewed CATTITUDE.
Edie Ramer knows cats and people. Her book CATITUDE is a fun read with interesting characters and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end as to how Belle and Max will get their Happily Ever After. I enjoyed watching Belle grow from a four-legged feline female to a full-fledged human woman. Ms Ramer skillfully weaves the strands of all the subplots without losing track of the main story line. The secondary story of Sorcha and Gwen will tug at your heartstrings....more

The cover on this is quite fun, and gives you a good idea what the main plot is about. I like the shades of purple and pink used as well, and the wispy detail of Belle's tail on the cover. What the cover won't tell you is the fantastic storyline which meld with the feline story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm a cat person, and the idea of this book intrigued me from the synopsis. The plot far exceeded what I thought it might be, the ch...more

Now I know I gave this book 3 stars but I liked it draws you In From the moment you start reading. Kad I was kind of wireded out with the 5 wives thing but it goes well with this story . Loved Varene, they are both from fueding sides but needed her help to heal his people who are sick but with all the issues they face they seem to connect with each other and the rest they say is history. Like I said not a bad read but it wasnt a great read for me also. The author incorporated a lot of elements i...more

Read this book.

My 4-star rating is a high 4 stars, docked from 5 because yes, Cattitude could probably-perhaps have benefited from some stream-line editing, and because something was wonky with the e-book formatting. Which, in today's market, counts as a critique.

Cattitude was not the 1600 pages long that my paid-for-through-BN copy showed it to be, thank goodness. The cover file was tiny, and there were page-gaps between chapters.

The suspense part of the plot could maybe have stood tightenin...more

This was a cute fun read. I thought the storyline was unique and different. The story is about a cat named Belle and her human owner Max. Max is headstrong and the man in his family. After his father's death, at the age of 12 Max took over the company and took over as head of the family. He is the type who makes all the decisons and is the one in charge. Max rescued Belle and the two had a fun home life. Belle is a cat and is stubborn and is used to getting her own way, until Caroline moves in....more

Cattitude is about Belle and Sorcha who are too different from one another. For one, Belle is a cat and Sorcha a psychic but both have something in common - someone wants to kill them. Belle enjoys her life with Max and his family after she was saved when she was a kitten. Sorcha is a psychic who was used by her boyfriend to take advantage of a rich man. Belle's problems started when she kept messing around with Caroline who wants to marry Max out of his money and Sorcha tries to run away from h...more

I quite enjoyed this light romantic tale of body switching. As an owner of three cats, I have to admit I may be a little biased. I gravitate to cat-based stories like a dog to a chew toy, but the story still needs to hold its own and this one certainly did.

Belle (the cat) and Sorcha (the human) switch bodies (or souls, if you prefer) and experience what it is like to live like the other. They must adapt to their new experiences while dealing with murderers, unfamiliar amorous feelings, mean nann...more

A delightful and humurous read. Our hero is hot and our heroine (a cat/woman) is amusing and entertaing.
This tells a story about a cat who wakes up inside a woman's body. It looks simple and light, or at least that's what i thought, but it's more than that. THe characters were engaging and it did evoke emotions from me.There was a good suspense and some thrilling twists and turns.

This book made me emotional. There was one part that made me actually sob out loud (which just DOES NOT happen). There was so much in this book. Sorrow, anger, plotting, hatred, responsibility, humor...it just goes on and on. I felt like I was on a roller coaster of emotions when I read this book. I thought a book about a woman and a cat changing bodies would be light reading, but not so. I loved the writing style of this author as well as the entertainment value of the book. A great read!

Max and his lovely cat Belle are a delight to read. Max tries to take care of everyone who needs help. He has a big heart and Caroline is after him but not for his heart for the love of his money. Can Max fight her off and figure out what has happened to Belle? What about this new woman who has amnesia can he help her? I found this whole book funny it is just too cute to put down. The author did a fantastic job.

I absolutely loved this book!! It was original and refreshing!! Like a breath of fresh air!I loved Belle!! She was a fantastic heroine and I couldn't get enough of her! Edie Ramer has done an excellent job of getting inside a cat's head, which is why it was so believable. It was such excellent writing that I was sad to have to finish reading it.And I loved how it ended!! I know. I'm gushing, but I just can't help myself,I loved it!!

This was a cute idea, and I thought that the main character's point of view was well expressed and quite realistic (given the plot premise of a human and a cat exchanging minds and bodies, a la Freaky Friday!). I will admit to not being entirely sold on the end of the novel, but overall a good, fun, quick read.
Donna
This seemed like a cute premise - a woman and a cat trade bodies. However that was pretty much it. The plot was thin and it was a very cheesy romance. I don't like romance novels so I can't really harsh it on that score, but I thought the whole thing was very lame. Luckily it was a fast read so I didn't waste much time on it.
