I simply had to buy the next book in the series after reading "The War in Heaven." Kenneth Zeigler's descriptions of Hell and of Heaven are almost eerie. They seem right on target although, of course, I have no way of knowing that for sure. Zeigler weaves biblical, historical and scientific research into this well-written story, placing eternity into perspective while keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. I highly recommend this book.

Shelves: supernatural, sci-fi
This was one of those books that make you stop and think. It seemed very real. The writing style was good suspense, but I must admit, I really like the subject. Must reading for those who like reading about the world beyond our own. I read (and write) like this all the time.

Wow,DEFINITELY YES!

This is a yes, do read! This a a unique look at Heaven and Bell and all that might go on there. This as is book 2 in a series of 5 but totally stands alone. A truly great author can write a book series consisting of stand alone books because his writing is what encouraging a he's you to read more. This author does NOT try to force you to buy his books by ending a story bbc.co with cliff hangers and no resolutions. Rather, the stories are so good you want to find out more about

Wow! This book was awesome! I really enjoyed the War In Heaven more than Heaven and Hell. I felt the narrator's (author's) voice was more neutral and did a better job of just telling the story and not sounding like a missing character in the book. There was much less outdated slang and terminology and just in general sounded like a more modern book.

I am really impressed, as I said in the first book's review, with the author's intelligence and knowledge. You definitely can tell he is a Physicist

This is the second book of the Tears in Heaven series, and fictionalizes the war in Heaven between Satan and his minions against the angles and the saints. For anyone who doesn't know their Bible, we win! It is a well thought out fictionization and an enjoyable read. The books in this series tend to be quite long, so make sure you have plenty of time when you start reading them. I am going to break off for a while and give my mind a rest by devouring some simple, purely entertains reads, and the ...more

A Different Book

I am anxious to complete the rest of the series. The porting back and forth through Heaven and hell was hard for me to imagine as was it for me to imagine Heaven's inhabitants wanting to visit hell but I believe one needs to read the entire series before making final judgments on the series as a whole.

This was a crazy book to read. Why? The wild minded use of technology woven into spiritual combat was very unique. I am not a physicist, but taking some classes I understood his descriptions, use of words, and their believable results. I will never look at Heaven the same again. A bit of a long read for me, but cool nonetheless.

I just couldn't finish reading this one at all. It had become very painful to read. In my opinion, it seemed to take on a completely different form. Of course, the writing and descriptions were very well done and for that, I'm not upset that I read as much as I did. And although I have no way of knowing what heaven and hell look like or of their inhabitants; I'd like to believe that the demons wouldn't bow to anyone in heaven. Why would they? Why should they? Saying it's unbelievable doesn't rea ...more

Book two in the five part "Tears of Heaven" series. Did not enjoy as much as "Heaven and Hell" but still could not put it down. Continuing on to book three.

Satan and his minions have declared war on heaven in an attempt to depose Michael the rest of the angels who remained true to God. Standing in Satan's way are a scattered and disorganized group of angels, a group of inexperienced saints, a small band of humans and some angelic rebels in Hell. Abaddon the Destroyer (he of the book of Revelations fame) creates a formidable army to challenge the evil angels in hell. The saints in heaven develop heretofore unseen weapons and technology to help heave ...more

I attended Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, way back when it was still called Shippensburg State College. I hold a masters degree in chemistry, and did my graduate research in quantum mechanics.... I openly profess Jesus Christ to be ...more
