This book is a fast read (108 pages), it is simple and repetitive. I quite like the messages in it, for example, eliminating the "middle man" when making purchases, what kinds of businesses prosper, and the author's review of the techniques that stores use to keep customers inside and buying. These are all valuable messages and I am glad that I read it. However, he slid religion into the book via a story from his minister and ended the book by saying we are all God's children. I think that bring ...more

Great book on harnessing the power of owning your own store and shopping from yourself. Rather than give the big retailers profits...make profits yourself! On page 82, I think this statement sums up the book...

"Consumers beware! Superstores and deep discount websites may offer big discounts, but in the long run, it't not what you pay but what you get in return that counts. And what could be better to get in return than the opportunity to own your own business and earn more money?"

Very short on details. It is the repetition of a simple idea but it's not particularly well presented. The book meanders

Dr. Quain is a business master mind. I've never been one to care about credibility, I've always been more concerned with whether someone lives up to their reputation or is it just hype. Well, I'm glad to say that Dr. Quain not only lives up to his reputation, but surpassed my expectations with his wisdom on the subject.

This book gives the opportunity for a common man to think like an entrepreneur. Not only that, it gives the confidence that everybody can build a business on his own. If you want to know what e commerce is about and how can it change the phase of business in the current economy, You should go through this book.

Recommends it for: No one.
A friend recommended this to me, but it's quite an empty book; all bark no bite. I can hardly even classify this as an economics book.

Repetitive, but very informative. Its short, so being repetive isnt a big problem.
Puts business in a whole new light.
