A delightful history of the building of the Forth Rail Bridge, which crosses the Forth estuary, north of Edinburgh, in Scotland. Prior to this bridge's erection, the "Firth of Forth" was too wide to cross with a single span, but in 1883, work began on a new type of bridge; the first with a steel superstructure.
