Another terrific Pandora book. What makes this series so great is that it's just plain entertaining for kids, while at the same time making grown-ups happy that kids are reading such smart books. Underneath the banter and lighthearted adventure is a serious story about responsibility, love and bravery. But all of the dark edges are appropriate for tweens and teens and give the books the depth that make them more than just another silly (but fun) story. When you add in the history, mythology and ...more

This series has really grown on me. I was luke-warm to begin with, but over the series have really enjoyed the stories and am even a little disappointed that I have to wait now for the last couple of books to be written. They are a great way to introduce Mythology to people. I personally enjoy the accuracy and writting of Rick Riordan more, but for those who are not quite up to that level, this is a great spring-board. The main characters are teenagers, and as such, their, like, vocabulary, like ...more

This has to be my favorite in this amazing series even if you for some reason hate all the other Pandora books you need to at least read this one! I am a high school student and I had been reading the series and I almost stopped not because I thought it was a bad series which I do not because I thought maybe I should be spending my time reading more older books which thankfully I did not listen. Their are references to many classic tales that have nothing to do with Greek mythology and if you lo ...more
Fifth in the series and just as good as the prior four novels. Love that, as Pandora travels to different parts of the world, we learn about folklore in those countries. New characters and old merge together to make for exciting story! Even though this is a YA book, adults enjoy it too! Just released this month and I already cannot wait for the next in the series!!

Pandora Gets Angry is a great book. The series usually focus on Greek gods, but this time it also include Persian religion. The setting of this wonderful book takes place in Persia and this time Pandora and her friends: Iole and Homer, need to capture the fifth evil: rage. The reason why Pandora’s other best friend, Alcie, isn’t with her is due to her being killed by Hera. Now Alcie is located in the underworld.
During the process of reading this book, I read about many different themes. One of

Every time I start one of these, I feel so cheesy. But then I get used to it and I really do enjoy it. There are really funny parts. I loved the new characters in this book, especially Douban. I thought this book was very disturbing at times. It wasn't things I couldn't handle, it was just really surprising coming from a children's book. I'm just surprised that the characters are emotionally or mentally scarred for life.

Its pretty good so far. I'm at the end of the chapter where the physician gets beheaded and the king dies because of poison on the book pages. Also one of the lesser evils is trapped underneath Homer's skin in his foot/lower leg. This series is so exciting!
P.S. I also like when Alcie is in the underworld with Persephone and Hades.

This books had me laughing and writhing in fear because of the mention of snakes, but other than that, it's amazing! Recommended to everyone, no matter if you like Greek mythology or not, this storyline and these characters are perfectly flawed and so human.
I loved the part about the jinn and how Alcie came back and learned to control her fate, literally. I don't understand what happened to the cherry thing in the back of her back though... Loved the plot and characters, a great book in a line of great books!

Honestly, I'm a little surprised I'm still reading this series when my mom has already provided me with better stuff to read--but I just wanna find out what happens, and then I can rest in peace. =P

It was the same overall plot, catching the evils, but the details and little scenes were very easy to picture and pretty clever. It was an easy book to get into and a quick and enjoyable read.
Enjoyed reading this book. I wish they would come out faster. It's been so long since the last book I forgot what was going on.... I started reading this book and was thinking, "Where's Alice?". lol
Pandora & friends continue to travel about, collecting the evils she accidentally let out of her father's box. This book takes place mainly in Baghdad.

Amazing! So much to say, I am going to have to come back and finish my review. But I am loving watching these three girls grow and mature on their journey!!
I absolutely loved this! I guess two years of waiting does pay off! I highly resommend this book to greek myth lovers!!! Can't wait for the sixth! =)
I love this book!! It is so fun, whenever I read the Pandora series, I always hope for more, and it is so cool... But my imagination just builds!
