Jensen Rivers wasn’t looking for trouble. As the new kid on the block at Clyde’s Body Shop, all Jensen wanted was a job, a place where he could put his head down and ass up. Young and handsome, he was the kind of simple, honest guy who was happiest when he was working hard, with oil smeared across his chest and grease up to his elbows.

But Dean ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson plans on g

So close. I liked this story because... well, cars and bikes. I'm a sucker for fine engineering. Give me a hot car or motorcycle and I'm like Oh Yeahhhhh... But unfortunately the sexy premise was unable to save the day.

Inappropriate use of equipment--GUILTY
Hot sex in a garage including some rather intense rope bondage, garaged car and a jack--oh yeah. Definite two thumbs up for creativity in both tools and the CBT.

Crimes against arts of engineering--GUILTY
Seriously, what they do to the Viper a
I have to be clear on the price of this book..., THE BOOK WASN'T WORTH THE PRICE of $7.99. I will admit, the sex scenes are hot but that's all you get in this book which is by the way 69 pages and you get only 60 pages of story for this price, and with this kind of story, you don't even get a plot, just two guys who start to mess arond the first day they met. And really bonding on first day... COME ON....
I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AT ALL, if you want to read sex, yeah hell go ahead... but that'

I am going to HELL..for such carnal thoughts.

SO..let me attempt to assemble some cohesive thought processing after being occupied with slim-jack-piston-packing visuals. Maybe this needs a black-box warning label of 'Don't try this at home..jackass.' after the piston-penetrative-portion and our little cowpokeboy's racing win..I spent way too much time trying to follow the cereal box instructions of that next scene. All I know is it included a guy, a rope, a 4000+lb car, a penis..and a lo

This is car talk and guy talk. It’s motorcycles, muscle cars and sex.

Knight is always good with physical place detail, setting the scenes with movement and atmosphere. Gravel spraying under jet black tires from crumbling concrete, old wooden rolling carts squeaking across the blooming oil stained floor, and fading streaks of sunlight glistening off sweaty, grease smudged skin.

His writing can also be rather obvious and sometimes repetitive, as happens in this stor

3.5 - a garage, two hot workers, fast and furious races for who gets to lead at night and two incredibly inventive sex scenes! This is short, not a ton of plot, but enough to spring up to the next edition of the story. And honestly, the races and the sex are enough. Holy hell.......

3.5 star review by Tidal

Meet Jensen Rivers, fresh from Texas. He is polite, ready to begin a new life, prepared to work hard and ready to please. Jensen gets a job at Clyde’s Body Shop where the crew of the shop are not afraid to get sweaty and dirty. It is hard work, physically challenging and Jensen jumps right in with both feet.

Hutch is the alpha male in the shop and finds an instant attraction to the new guy but is broody and has a chip on his shoulder. Jensen is drawn to Hutch as well. Bein

Light fare in the assorted banquet of delights found in the MM Romance genre, this racy little tale goes down like a good fast food burger and fries, that is to say it’s a tasty snack of a story.

The blurb pretty much covers the storyline, but I feel this story is good because of its vivid writing style, which engaged all of my five senses and then some. The author has a true gift for writing concise, descriptive vignettes that bring clear imagery to mind. I both heard and smelled the burn of ru

OMG! What can I say about this book? I like Geoffrey Knight’s writing. I have enjoyed every book I have read by him, few as they are. (Working on that.) This one was no exception. I did enjoy it. That being said, this story was edgy. I was very surprised with some of it. Not that I was expecting something else really, but that I wasn’t expecting what I got.

There wasn’t a lot of character development in this, but maybe, just enough. I never got a sense that I really knew any of

Short, Sexy and Steamy… why yes, that is my three favorite colors. And now, if you please… buckle your seat belt, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

Jensen Rivers came to work at his uncle’s auto shop looking to stay out of trouble and work on cars. But trouble is already there, ready and waiting, in the form of the big, brooding and oh so sexy Hutch. The mutual attraction is obvious, and after Hutch challenges Jensen to a race their adrenaline is pumping and that attraction lights like a stick of d

A Joyfully Jay review.

4 stars

This story starts out as a generous serving of porn with a side of plot. Sometimes you are in the mood for a drama, sometimes a comedy, and Drive Shaft is definitely for when you are in the mood for hot action. This story reads like an action film with two hot guys going full throttle. There is a bit of plot added in and we are offered a glimpse of both Jensen and Hutch. The main focus, however, is on their fast paced nightly races and then the winner claiming their

Drive Shaft is one of those books you will either love or hate. Unfortunately I tend to be in the latter camp. It tells the story of Jensen Rivers who arrives for his new job at an auto body shop and meets Dean ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson, who also works there. The two men instantly clash, but find out a way to work through their issues in bed and drag racing. However, will Hutch’s mysterious past threaten their future?

While I appreciated the absolute hotness of the sex scenes in Drive Shaft, a
Reviewed by Stacey Jo: Jensen Rivers blows into town on his Ducati sport bike to work in Clyde's garage. He meets sexy Dean "Hutch" Hutchinson his first day there. Dean ends up challenging Jensen to a race and the winner gets control of the other one that night. They end up racing each other two more times, with the last one having ultimate consequences.

You never learn much back story at all on Jensen. You get the gist of it, but that's it. We do get some on Hutch and he does have a little bagg

Long or short, Geoffrey Knight’s stories will bring you hot men loving each other. Drive Shaft was probably a little different from the previous stories I read by the same author because the setting was “smaller”, and Auto Repair & Body Shop in a small town in Southern California. No international adventures, no vip characters, but two young men who likes to get down and dirty, both in life than in love.

Jensen is a 20 years old from Texas who is not exactly running away from home, but almos

This is a quick 60 page read about two young men Hutch and Jensen. Both lost souls, both working for Clyde in a mechanics repair shop. Both have a passion for speed and kink.
The one thing I’ve always loved about Mr. Knights writing is that it’s full of passion and this one is no different. These two MC’s send all kinds of sparks on and off the impromptu race tracks. Can’t wait to jump into book two.

Enjoyable quick read - had so much potential if it were a full length book- I would have liked to explore the characters more
Hm, nice. Interesting use of the bdsm thing. Hot. A nice short story all in all. The romance was rushed but all right.
In a Viper versus Ducati dangerous race, the loser is owned by the winner for the night. Hutch, driving the Viper, wins the first round over Jensen on the Ducati. That night involves duct tape and an interesting use of a jack piston. In a two out of three bet, Jensen takes the second round, with inventive uses of rope and a Plymouth. As the third round approaches, secrets are revealed and the stakes are higher. The book is mostly two longish sex scenes (for the length of the book) but the sex is ...more
Super hot story and even though I don't like bdsm I enjoyed kinky scenes here, hands down. At first I felt kind of irritated, because of Jensen and Hutch highly dangerous racing games, as I absolutely hate stupid and unnecessary risky behavior, but the reasons were explained later on and overall I'm okay with that.

The ending was rather abrupt, but I hope the sequel will make up for it.
I decided to finish this after leaving it sit at 50% all weekend. This was really all porn, no plot guys. Not worth your time. I can't recommend it unless you WANT all porn and no plot. If that's the case, go for it, cuz that's all you'll be getting.
Hmm I'm glad this was loaned to me and I didn't buy it. it's really not worth the price of $7.99 for a short story. There isn't even a plot until the last few pages. I didn't hate the read, it just didn't do anything for me.
A short read; done and dusted in a couple of hours. Favourite bits: Hutch's low slung coveralls, duct tape. Felt a little cheated at the ending which was summed up in a couple of paragraphs.
This is raw, hot, explosive fun with a little bit of kink. The story is fast but has a lot of feeling crammed into it and the passion between the two men is obvious.
Not really what was expecting but still enjoyable - it was short and hot in places but it really needed to be longer for me to be invested in the characters.

If you are in the mood for a short story with drag racing action and hot kinky man-on-man sex, than Drive Shaft is for you.
good bdsm sstory but the end might be a little bit too abrupt for my tastes.
