"10,000 Days in Alaska" shows a firsthand depiction of the struggles one must endure to live in such a desolate place as the tundra. This first book in a series of three was a thoroughly realistic way for me to know the real Alaska - first-hand from someone who lived it. There may never be another book like this, or the series. These books are destined to become classics and much sought after and studied as examples of surviving under such demanding conditions. I have not seen any books like ...more
