I greatly enjoyed Dr. Bejel's analytical viewpoint on how homosexuality and nationalism have worked as opposing forces within the Cuban context. He analyzes several works such as that of Jose Marti, in which feminism is depicted as a sign of weakness as is homosexuality but only applying to the "feminine" homosexual.
