A lot of nutrition books seem to fall into two categories: gimmick, or text book. A gimmick: http://www.amazon.com/Fat-Smash-Diet-Las... It may work, but it's not for everyone, however everyone buys it because it has an attractive title. A text book: http://www.amazon.com/Nutrition-Concepts... It's got a lot of information, but man... $118 dollars?

I loved how everything she included in this book was based on the best research done on women (not men) as most research up to the mid 90's was done mostly on men. She really breaks down the various food itmes and what vitamins and nutrients you can find in each. This is done in easy to read charts. I still reference this book and wish she would do an updated edition. Very informative!
