I came across this book while wandering in a book store and picked it up becasue I have her other book called, Crazy about Cupcakes. I like the way Krystina provides easy to follow directions and techniques for baking and decorating in both of her books. She also does a nice job explaining the various ingrediants, what they do, and why they are important. She explains the various tools to use and how to use them. I have the "Kohl's Cares" edition, so 100% of the book cost supports Kids' Health and Education, that in itself deserves a star.
Castella does a nice of job of explaining why the ingredients are important, how to use tools, and how to make changes to the recipes for specific health needs. The directions are easy to follow. The recipes are a bit unorganized and some start at the end of a page--the flipping back and forth is sure to cause a baking mishap. I also would have looked more pictures but...more

I continued my library cookbook binge with this yummy book. I was initially excited to read it but quickly became disillusioned.
This started off fine with descriptions of ingredients and baking methods, etc. but once I actually hit the recipes they were so tangled together that I quickly just gave up and abandoned the book entirely. It just was not worth it.
