Dead Right is the final installment of the Stillwater Trilogy. The 3rd novel was just as good as the others in the series; Dead Silence (book #1) and Dead Giveaway (book #2). What impressed me the most with all 3 books was the depth of the characters. They are characters that you can really feel for. Madeline and the Montgomery’s are a family that have been though so much. You just want everything to work out and for them to all be happy and finally put the past behind them. I only fault I fou...more

I started this book with a great deal of anxiety and expectations. I knew Madeline wants to discover what happened to her father but I really didn't want her to do that. I wanted her to forget about the whole thing because her family has already suffered so much and she doesn't even realise that.

The people of Stillwater, Mississippi, are asking questions about murder. Again.

Twenty years ago, Madeline Barker’s father disappeared. Despite what everyone else thinks, she’s convinced her ...more

Wonderful conclusion to this series! Answers all of the questions, although some of the answers will turn your stomach. It definitely goes into much more detail about what happened (which the reader already knows what happened from the first two books). I loved the entire Montgomery family, as well as Madeline (and their respective partners). I'm really going to miss reading about them!

I love these books. The first and second were my favorites. I have to admit that this was my least favorite of them all. I really don't like Madeline. She comes across as an idiot that is totally in denial. I was happy with the ending and the book overall but I wish Novak would have made her more like able. I did like the character Hunter a lot.

So maybe I was a little Jaded due to not having read the first 2 in the trilogy but it seemed this book just wanted to put the smutty up for examination. I believe something like it could have happened but that's not what I want to read about in such a pushy way. Makes me not very interested in the author at all.

Like the first 2, Dead Silence and Dead Giveaway, I couldn't put this book down. Ms. Novak is a brilliant, refreshing writer. I highly recommend this series to anyone that likes this genre. This book has edge of your seat suspense and romance.

This was a really good book but the subject matter was really difficult to deal with. I kept reading because I needed to know what happened and that the bad guy got his just reward.
