fun book and light reading, I enjoyed it. Well, Ms. Beckham has decided to part with her style secrets in this fun, colorful book to help us average Janes avoid looking "frumpy or mumsy". Whether giving the scoop on jeans and proper fit, beauty care, or dressing for a special occasion, Beckhman manages to keep the tone practical, light and conversational - what you'd expect if your most stylish buddy sat you down and filled you in on the details, from where to buy to what works with wh...more

Okay, so this book does not have a lot of substance, lol. I liked it though. The pictures and drawings are cute. I like the little insights into the life a Spice Girl, it's fun. I was surprised at how much I liked some of the advice though. It's pretty typical stuff, and not much of it is applicable to me as a poor college student; I cannot shop for everyday clothes at Banana Republic at this point in my life. Kitten heels are gross though, bikini waxes are a must when living in a swimsuit, and ...more

Why did I buy this book,I really don't know.
I absolutely hate everything about Victoria Beckham and avoid everything associated with her at all costs usually.
But for some reason I bought this book, despite the fact I don't even like her so called 'fashion sense'.
I suppose curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to see if it was actually any good.It wasn't.
She promotes her jeans, goes on about her skin care regime but doesn't really tell you anything new.

If you need a guide for the ...more

There's not a lot of substance to this book, but it's crammed with girl-talk. If you love anything to do with boys, makeup, shoes, clothes, skincare, nails, etc. it's worth reading. I'd say it's generally writing out her opinion and thoughts about all things girlie. If that's up your alley, you will like it. You can open it to any page and enjoy the musings. If you're looking for autobiography material and anything thought-provoking about Victoria Beckham or the World, it's not for you.

Don't knock it till you've read it... Some great tips from someone who has shopped all over the world. Tips on great products, good vintage shops and of course the best designers and stores. Victoria is down to earth and humorous in her fashion guide book that tells you how to dress fashionable in your own way. She is also very honest to say which shops are expensive and which shops are inexpensive. A fun read!

This book is major. This book was a nice little book about beauty and fashion tips, heavy on the fashion and Victoria Beckham also shared a bit about her life in the fashion world. I love Posh, so this book was a must read for me. I bought the UK hardcover version when I finally had some money to spare and then I bought the US version week it came out. There's a whole chapter devoted to blue jeans--genius!

Not really impressed with this book. So far all I have gotten from it is veiled (and not so thinly may I add) advertisements for her dVb clothing line. Some of the tips are good, but nothing we haven't heard before. Still trying to muddle through this mess, but I can't guarantee I'll read the whole thing. Good thing I got it for free; I would have been mad if I had paid for it.

Ok, I know it's written by a former Spice Girl, but I am fascinated with fashion and wanted more tips on how to dress more chic. I really loved this book because it takes you through every situation of choosing an outfit, not just from your closet, but when you're purchasing the items themselves. Essential things for your wardrobe and the best place to buy them :)

I enjoyed this book a lot more than Fabulosity. Although it is geared towards UK shopping mostly, I think the tips and guidance she gives are wonderful. I appreciated the bits of her life and how she does fashion, as well as where to find some of the best items in a variety of price ranges. The book covers fashion as well as hair and beauty. Well worth the quick read.

It's official, this one is my number one favorite book of 2007! I saw Victoria at Ellen the other day, thought she was actually really funny, and reading this book just further justifies that Victoria is a genius both at her fashion sense, her quirky lifestyle tips, without losing any inch of her brutal honesty on her personal life. Posh Spice has come a long way ;)

What did I learn from this book? Well, mostly I learned that fashion lessons from size zero millionairesses aren't exactly valid for a size (cough) barely middle-income person. The most shocking insight gleaned was that I do not actually loathe Posh Spice. In fact, I kind of liked her, which surprised me. She knows she's ridiculous and I appreciate that.

Kind of mindless and silly, however....I do have a secret desire to be her when I grow up. And, quite frankly, the girl does know her fashion! She has more than a passing understanding of clothing design, designers, fit, and trends....and an in depth knowledge of how to translate haute-couture into wearable, affordable fashion for the masses.

This book is major! I bought the US version and can't put it down. Not finished yet but it's fun, witty, informative. She has a keen fashion sense and gives you fashion tips through out (including where to buy). Title is a bit tongue and cheek which gives you an idea to her personality. The only down side, she speaks of alot of UK based stores.

This was a pretty good book, I was curious about Victoria Beckham's "opinions" and the fashion secrets that were to be included in the book. I didn't learn a lot and most of the recommendations (for stores or products) were UK brands which they don't have here in the US, but it was entertaining.

Had to check it out, although my husband teased me mercilessly. Nothing more than a glamor mag. No useful information whatsoever. That alone wouldn't be enough to condemn it outright, but it wasn't even entertaining. I couldn't spend more than 30 minutes reading it.

You know you love the Spice Girls and once you admit that to yourself you will want this book. Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) loves clothes and has access to things only us normal folk could dream of. Great pictures and fab illustrations. It's "MAJOR"

Cheeky and fun. VB basically just tells us everything we already know: high heels will make you look taller and leaner. If you're showing leg, keep your ta-ta's covered, ect. Only annoying part is how often she talks about her clothing line.

Yay, I love her! This is a great book for what it is, anyone who says otherwise is just being a snob. Plus I was surprised by how much this edition actually had been updated - new photographs & illustrations, revised style advice etc.

Overall, its okay. I don't think I learned anything new (except maybe that she wears fake toenails). Also, she frequently promoted her line (dVb) which got kinda annoying. Worth checking out but def not a good reference book
