This book is okay. If it were more in depth with the various topicsit would be good but it barely touches on each item. The photos give ideas but this is a modern interpretation of Zen garden. It should focus on one thing one thing but it did not such that it covered each topic i adequately. It was not an offensive book but it was a book that left me wishing that I had bought a different book with more information in it. I have studied Zen for over 40 years and compared to classics this is almos...more
The photographs and advice for depicting rock placement and for stone walkways was very helpful. Elements of nature are woven into the landscape as well as this book - good emphasis.
Good ideas on Zen gardens. Beautiful pictures with some instructions.
